Best anti-Thargoid armour?

I'm considering fitting some upgraded armour to the AspX I use for nosing around Thargoid related stuff.

It's NOT a combat ship but I sometimes find myself getting attacked.

Anybody know what sort of armour is best for soaking up Thargoid-inflicted damage?
Military Grade Composites?
Mirrored?
Reactive?

Given that Thargoid weapons bypass our shields and inflict hull-damage, I was assuming that the damage they do is kinetic and therefore reactive armour would be the best choice.

It seems to be more explosive with the thargons so reactive is fine but mrp's are equally as important

Okay, that's good news.

I'm probably going to go and get it engineered tonight so I want to make sure I'm fitting the best armour before I throw away a bunch of engineering mat's on it.

Course, I wouldn't be surprised if, sooner or later, we end-up with a specific AX armour class.
In the mean-time, though, anything that improves the durability of my ship is worth a go. [up]

No expert here but it seems to me that so far quantity is more important than quality in any of the existing categories. IMO, go for as much hull strength as possible.

It seems that Thargoid damage is caustic type - resistances don’t seem to matter. I’d go with military composite and engineer with heavy duty.

With respect that’s putting all your eggs in one basket. Fine if you have a Cutter with 6000 shields - but the OP is flying an AspE. I would stick at least one MRP in. If your shields do pop you’ll need your engines and FSD to last long enough to get you out of there.

you could always store the fighty stuffs nearby the goids when you want to travel back to the bubble, my asp can go 54LY in "exploration" which has light weight 'everything' and a smaller power plant. In goid-mode i swap alot of stuff over which leaves me a 28-29ish LY range which is enough to get around without a fuel scoop near the bugs.

the biggest issue i have is the lose of boost-speed which means i can't escape as easily, countered by always have a system nearby selected to jump out to before entering the threat 5/6.

It's a reasonable counter point.

You are quite right on this. No matter how good your armor and shields are, if the ASPE does not boost at least up to 500mps, it is very unlikely he will make it out of the combat zone in one piece.
