Horizons best Corvette layout for PvE

Hey guys!

I have not played this game much since the *fighter bay* upgrade came out and i want to get back into it.

I 've been looking online but all post date back to 2016! Im looking for what i guess would be the new META for PvE

weapon layout and engineer upgrades for a corvette! thanks for the help :)

There is no best PvE loadout for a Corvette. You simply can't die in a properly engineered one. Let's get started:

Class 7 Bi-Weave shield generator with G5 thermal resistance together with 3 G5 resistance augmented and 3 to 5 G5 heavy duty shield boosters
FSD with G5 long range (gives up to 20 ly jump range, o.k. you don't need that for PvE but it's nice to have)
G5 charged enhanced power distributor
A class thrusters with at least G3 dirty drive mod
Class 5 or 6 fighter bay.

IMHO there is no urge for shield cell banks or hull buffs for PvE as you will never loose shields with this setup (but be careful when taking on a triple wing of Anacondas in a HazRES).

Weaponwise it's up to you. You like multicannons? Go with seven of them, preferably with G5 overcharged and at least one small corrosive resp. incendiary on the two large and don't look back, whether fixed or gimballed. Mix it up with lasers, e.g. two huge efficient beams are very nice, or you may like two small turreted beams or bursts to run off the small flies.

The Corvette's firepower is so huge that there is much headroom for experiments. For the time being I like two long range huge plasmas together with one corrosive MC and one feedback cascade rail gun supplemented by burst turrets. NPC 'condas die within seconds.

Have fun!

There are several recent threads that discuss this very thing, as well as several old threads.

Do a search and you will find loads of discussions back and forth on this.

BTW, for PvE, you don't need all A's and 5's on a Corvette to be effective. However, if you venture into Open, be totally ready w/ a full kit. Always.

IF you do CZ's, that's about the only place where a full-kit Corvette is handy, can go in and stay until you run out of ammo or get tired.
