Best COVAS?

Which is the best COVAS in Elite Dangerous in your opinion? I haven't bought any of the extra voices apart from the two that come for free, but from listening to the samples on the frontier store page, I have the impression that Alix has the most pleasant voice and would sound quite nice on long journeys for relaxing exploration, while Celeste gives me a serious "Imperial" vibe.

Btw., is it possible to set different COVAS for different ships?

I have to admit, I have a real soft spot fer Celeste and use her in almost everything I use...which sounds all sorts of wrong I know...erm what was the question again?

Alix is good. They all are, actually.

And yes, you can set different ones for different ships. You can even set different ones in your SRV.

I'm a Celeste fan too .. she's kind of gentle, and never tells me what to do!

For the moment I have familiarity of Verity in SRV and Alix sits well in SLF
(another advantage of the Krait II).

Can't do Alix because I don't like the accent. I won't say "American accent" because American accents are varied. Some are stronger than others, some are much lighter. Alix's is quite strong to my ears.
Celeste doesn't work for me either; the accent is sexy, but I'm not a fan of the voice itself.

I heard Archer and bought him immediately because he reminded me of Tony Stark's, J.A.R.V.I.S. :p

At least for me Verity is still the best.
I would really like more neutral/robotic voice (like those in mechwarrior and modern battletech games, as someone already mentioned), but as it is Verity is as close as you can get. I really dislike those various accents other voices have for some reason.

I want the robotic voice that greets you at engineer bases.
I hardly use covas anymore though. I like the audible feedbacks from my ship which covas is good at drowning out.

Contrary to popular opinion I've grown to hate Celeste. If I hear that annoying "Froooimshift Drooive Chooooooorging" one more time...

Pity that Majel Barrett isn't alive anymore to record an LCARS voice pack.

the original female one. the rest get really annoying after a short time like they are putting an accent on. the paid ones are awful. i regret buying them and just run original now.

I bought Archer because his voice sounds restful and reassuring. He sounds like he knows what he’s talking about... (not that the others don’t, but you know what I mean!)
