Best moment in the game for you so far?

So far - Last night. We had done a little bounty hunting for the CG and my friend offered to show me something cool, he hasn't been there before and as I had never heard of this place I didn't know what to expect. What I did find however was something that is not only beautiful but right in the bubble too.

Where can I start?During my 700hours of playtime Commander Pash has had so many adventures and great moments. One of the fondest though was the first time I killed an Anaconda.I was in my first true ship, a Viper Mk3 gathering money from Combat Bonds to properly outfit my ship for Combat. So, I was in a High Intensity conflict zone killing small ships and suddenly I see an enemy Anaconda.I decided to take it on alone.I started firing but the Anaconda quickly gained the upper hand and started stripping down my shields. It was at this moment that I looked at the right side of my canopy and a few allies of mine who came to my aid and started shooting the Anaconda.A few minutes of intense dogfighting later we took it down and the explosion was huge.I started celebrating and shouting "Woohoo!" like Han Solo.

Two moments for me:-

1) While pirating CMDRs (who I do my hardest not to blow up), I interdicted a CMDR and he ran... Interdicted him again and he ran... On the third interdiction I did enough damage to get his attention so he finally stopped. I gave my terms... and then... two other CMDRs turned up... I immediately ran, and I came under heavy fire. I was watching my SC bar going up painfully slowly, and my hull level dropping, and I was just about to finally jump... and boom...

2) The feeling of jumping beyond the furthest anyone else had been from the galactic core, and hoping I wasn't musjudging things and would end up marooned! - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=231416

There have been so many beautiful moments, but last CG I learned to appreciate the basics again so to say.
I came in a conda outfitted for trading and was hauling gold. I was anticipating getting interdicted, but it just wasn't happening for the BH CG. So I had to get out and hunt those bounties myself. I could've bought a vulture locally, but decided that cheap was the way to go as there wasn't any good outfitting available. So out I flew in a mostly B-rated Eagle with twin fixed pulses and one fixed MC. In 2 hours time I had racked up 2.5mil in bounties and was in the best 25% all the while having so much fun. especially against an elite-rated conda popping SCB's. I think I had been shooting him for the past quarter of an hour till his shields finally dropped and I started taking down his powerplant at a rate of 1% per 8-9 shots. But it was simply glorious!

When I got killed. Can't remember exactly what the situation was or what got me but I remember having a really good fight, and really not wanting to die. We were both really battered, but then he (an NPC) got the upper hand, canopy went completely, all the controls stopped responding and all I could hear was my breathing. The realisation set in that I was done for. I remember just staring at the screen with an empty feeling in my stomach and not many games can do that.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Last week I was mining in a pristine ring near Sirius. I was approaching a full hold and the sun began to disappear behind the gas giant. visibility was becoming an issue but just when I was about to leave, my limpet struck a 50% painite rock... I went for it. Obviously. By the time I was done harvesting the precious cargo, I realized it was pitch black. I was kind of sure of my bearings and started pointing what I thought was up, set off and boosted away... Into a Titanic moment.

Barely lit up by my lights, there it appeared, briefly : A gigantic spinning asteroid with it's tail coming right at me. I hit the breaks but it was way too late. Going at around 560m/s in my Clipper, I just couldn't do anything.

I hit it so hard my hull went down to 3% and sent me flying all around.

It took me 15 minutes to find my way out of the field, sweating all the water in my body. I'll never forget it...

My first encounter with a Farragut at a distress call USS. The music was epic, the battle was intense, then the "oh     !" moment when a message popped up "huge incoming signal detected" or something along those lines.

So. Cool.

When I uninstalled.

Though to be fair, it's alright for just a casual couple hours a week thing. Maybe with some future expansions it'll actually be worth playing. Right now there simply is not enough content, Or interaction with other people for that matter. I have a private group me and some friends log onto occasionally, we play MWO also. And to be Honest, Even MWO is better then this game. ED is basically a Flight sim with some (Crappily implemented features) Trading, Mining, or semi ok combat, and a      load of Grinding. Though again these "features" are not alive nor interactive, and the game simply feels, well Dead and Empty, on the whole.

Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce... the life and soul of the party....

When I signed up as a Fuel Rat, and made my first rescue. Heck, every time I manage to rescue someone is generally a great feeling.

last night I played for the first time for a while and took a little break from testing SC...

Flew my cutter out to Pleiades sector where the alien crash site is....the GM would not find it no matter how many times I typed it....so I thought id use some imagination and try and hit a random system in the said sector of space and explore a planet ect.

found a system with 2 landable planets (at work cant remember names) ....so made myself a coffee and rolled a fat one......and used my on top vid player thing to watch a hour and a half long doc about the milky way galaxy that I downloaded especially for this moment.

so I was all set up,,,headtracking, hotas, roccat grids, voice attack, cool entertainment playing whilst I explore....

this planet I found was red like mars, flew to the surface and found this massive crater....it was deep, and in the middle was a rocky pyramid type structure.

as I flew closer it didn't seem like a normal looking rocky mountain.....I started to think id found some ancient alien ruin!....

but nah...it was just rocks lol.

im just admitting that last night I actually made a effort to have a little fun and a relaxing time.

is this the human emotion you all call enjoyment?

I was in a viper Mk III, in a totally intense fight with a federal assault ship, believe me it was a very close one, both of our shields were down, I think I was at around 30% when I decided I needed to take cover behind an asteroid, as I darted for the cover I considered running, but I was far too deep in the asteroid field to run. I had to stick it out and fight to the gruesome end. By the time I was able to take cover I was at around 10 percent, I pulled a quick Immelmann, and I saw the targeting reticle creeping up to the edge of the asteroid, I felt like I was effed, but hell if I ever go down without a fight, I had 1 dumb fire missile in each medium pod left, I predicted the lead time and I did my best, I fired them both at once. The missiles screeched past the edge of the asteroid, the target still hasn't revealed himself, the missiles still getting further and further away from me, the target reveals below the asteroid, missiles hurtling toward it, I imagined his multi cannons spooling up preparing to finish me off in a hail of bullets. The missiles both connected, instant decimation, large bounty, and I was safe and sound, my shields finally regened in about 10 seconds afterwards and I flew back to the station, battered, but not beaten.

Love this one, epic!
