Best Place To sell Exploration Data?

I'm now < 10 kylies from the Bubble and fast approaching the end of my 2 month expedition to Beagle Point. Thoughts are turning to the best place to sell all that cartographic data. Fairly certain I've already maxed Farseer in that respect so wondering if any merit in heading for Empire space, in order to try and gain rep with that faction. Or is it advisable just to take the safe option and head for Sol or Barnards Star where there is less likelihood of getting a PvE (Solo) play gank from a NPC on my last lap before home?

Dock at a starport with shipyard, summon your combat ship & sell the data where ever you want.
It used to be ~14MCr from neutral to allied for the station controlling faction, now it might (or should) be higher since the payouts have gotten out of hand.
Also an easy way to obtain permits to some permit locked systems, if the right faction happens to control a station in some accessible system.

Yeap, permits is a nice way to spend the explo data.
Engineers, not so much. It faster and cheaper to engineer a single module to G4 at least

You got me wrong, I was talking about the meeting requirements, for example Zachariah Nemo:
"Meeting requirements

Gain invitation from Party of Yoru."

So you wanna sell data to that minor faction to get the invite.
This one is a Colonia one, I know, but there are some in the bubble as well.

yeah, there's always one (Sirius or Alioth) where I turn up with the bromolite he wants only to find out I don't have the permit yet, so now I always get those permits first :)

This is a better example, Liz Ryder:
Meeting requirements:
Gain Cordial or Friendly status with Eurybia Blue Mafia.

Thanks guys, spreading around it is, then. (Though after two months solid playing the game, might be a while before I come back to take advantage... :) ).

And you don't really have to worry about NPC interdictions. All NPC pirates these days are gentleman pirates. Just submit to the interdiction. If you have no cargo (and an explorer shouldn't) and aren;t running any other missions, they'll simply mutter dark things about your general uselessness and fly away, leaving you to continue your journey in peace.

NPC interdictions are also quite easy to avoid these days, but you might not want to risk it if you're out of practice.

:) As it is, I'm filling the retention toilet in my Asp with concern about docking after two months away from civilisation, actually strictly speaking 14 months as I flew straight out to the Black after resuming the game.

It said "Rating 5". I assume it's 5 weeks?:) It's less for the pack-hounds.
That is not how it works.
You get a rating assigned according to the amount of merits you have when the weekly tick happens (thursday).
That is:
Rating 1: 0
Rating 2: 100
Rating 3: 750
Rating 4: 1500
Rating 5: 10000

You will also keep 50% of the merits from the last cycle.

The Powerplay specific modules and weapons require to have rating 3 AND being pledged for at least 4 weeks.

Thanks for the clarification. I am actually pledged to LYR for the exploration payout but it's been so long I just deal with the tedious 10000 delivery in 10 item batches...:(

You know that you can reset the timer, right?
Still a lot of clicking. And 15 times hauling trip.

I've found undermining to be far faster (and more interesting) than hauling merits. Can you undermine for Li?
