Best plan if you only want to fly Medium and Small Ships?

I almost have 0 interest in flying the larger ships. So with that being said what would be the best option actually I almost don’t want to fly the medium ships. How many small ship lines do we have like 5-8? I guess I can go through them and outfit some for running specific missions but the. What?? I really think we could have a few more small ships to add to the roster but not really sure yet... thoughts??

Depends what you want to do. Obviously fetch / delivery missions will be a potential issue, but otherwise, small / medium ships are fine for pretty much everything else. I only use small medium ships.

For those delivery / fetch missions I use a Python, for exploration I use(d) an Asp Explorere or a Krait Phantom. For combat assassination missions I usually use an iCourier, sometimes a Viper Mk III. I do have Vultures but rarely use them, and if I want a change I'll use a Mamba or an FDL. For massacre missions a Krait Mk II (so I can use an SLF). For planetary missions it's either a Viper Mk III or an iCourier with an SRV bay.

For me, I certainly don't need more / different small ships and the ones I have and use are great fun to fly and more than effective in combat against NPC's. :)

I pretty much only fly small/mediums (with the exception of my Cutter, which is the only big ship I have, and generally only use it for trade CGs). I've got my main Python I use primarily for delivery missions, a Krait MKII for salvage/assassination/scan missions (mostly to rank my NPC pilot up, lol), a Vulture for Combat Zones when the mood strikes, and then a Dolphin for shuttle/taxi/exploration. I have several other ships that I rarely use now but still keep docked at Shinrarta. (I could buy a FC if I wanted to, but after playing with one in the Betas decided they weren't quite ready for my particular prime time. Maybe someday though.)

I'm not exactly sure what the question here is?

I'm a small/medium ship commander. I only cheat with the Orca, because one, it's an interstellar style magnet, and two, it's really a medium at heart.

But Conda, Cutter and Corvette? Meh

Beluga? I already have an Orca, what would I want a Beluga for :)

T-9 is a dog. T-10 has potential, but not a ship for me.

Anyway, back to the OP.... post a few roles or mission profiles you'd like to do, and what sort of characteristics you value most in a ship, and we can offer up some suggestions and maybe some builds for you to run the rule over OP. What's most important to you? Jump, cargo capacity, speed, firepower, shields, hull, cockpit visibility, boost sound, et cetera, et cetera.

For me I have some house rules. For a ship to make my fleet it must both jump 30 light years in mission trim and boost at least 500. Here are the ships that have made the grade

Courier
iEagle
DBX
FDL
Four Kraits
Orca
Vulture

That's it, ten ships. I sold or ignored the rest :)

It's certainly a hilarious career choice!
Haha like the class clown choice?? Anyhow I upgraded to the phantom to test it out ill will be honest I really like it so if python is similar I’ll enjoy that too

forgot to mention I have been wanting an orca since I bought this game so I dunno I kind of have mixed feelings because I really didn’t like flying the T-7

I have four ships now: Python for trading, Phantom for exploration, Cobra MK3 for quick data delivery missions, Chieftain for occasional RES fun. This is all I need. I also do not have any desire to fly anything bigger...

Question which has more Cargo room the Kriat Phantom or Kriat MK2 ??

If you're after fun flying, grab a hauler, visit Felicity and buy the enhanced thrusters.
As a courier/ small cargo ship it's fun to fly, manoeuvrable enough to avoid most interdictions and screamingly fast for when you don't.
I think it's my favourite taxi!

For a bit more cargo try the T6. Similar capacity to the AspX, but a lot cheaper. I reached trader elite in mine...

I really do like the Hauler I will get engineering done at some point my overall question though isn’t the AspX or Keelback slightly better than the T-6 I mean I do like the T-6 but for bang on the $$ wouldn’t the other choices be better??
