"blue danube" waltz theme in "2001", part major inspiration for the Elite franchise, carried over today in our docking computer's music,
"mail slot", orangey-yellow hud targeting + landing graphics, etc.

I mostly listen to OSTs from sci-fi games and movies while playing ED. Spotify has loads of those, like Deus Ex or Tron Legacy. Other than that, I like minimal electronic/wave/lo-fi stuff.
