Best technique to make a steady slope?

I'm not really sure how to do this. I want to make an inclined path, but quite gentle - not the extreme angle of the current path when you press U or J to adjust the angle.

What I'm doing is raising the terrain at the top of the slop with the pull tool, then flattening it out halfway with the foundation, then finally smoothing it all out. But it's kinda janky. Is there a better way? Thanks.
 
There's a flatten to surface but that's just as bad.
I agree it's frustrating.

"Flatten to slope (angle)" would be perfect.
 
One trick I sometimes use to form terrain how I want is to make something using the PxP. So in your case Make a flat wall (or use Flat Roof Piece's), to the length you want your path. Then use the advanced moved to achieve the angle you want your slope to be, now using the terrain tool, with "scenery lock" turned on, if you "pull" the terrain it will pull to just short of underneath the PxP you have layed down. Thus giving you a slope of any angle you desire. I have used this method to create lots of interesting things out of the terrain. I use the same method to create my dark rides, Where I'll have a double skinned wall and roof so it looks like an actual building, and then fill the gap between the walls to make it dark inside. This sounds promising, but what's the PxP?
 
Once you create a small area which has the right inclination... then you use "Flatten to surface" starting from that area. You lock it there... and by moving it around all other land will allign.

Ah, yeah I agree with that. I really wish the terrain could auto form underneath the path, like it does when placing flat rides on uneven terrain, to make it a less of a hassle to place paths on uneven terrain.
having an auto-forming terrain feature when placing paths would go great along with a snap-to-angle feature for terrain [up]

using PxP as a stencil to form terrain (like in the video Maj Herb-Head posted) is very very time consuming for making flat shapes

Ah I get it now. So you eye-ball something that looks right then use it as an angled "flatten to foundation", work it around then adjust anything that spills over.

If the angle isn't right, undo, adjust, try again. Ok gotcha.

Yep, exactly. Clearly, the flatten to foundation works only horizontally... the "Flatten to surface" will flatten the land according to the angle of the starting patch of ground. If you can, in any way, work a single piece of land to give it the proper angle then you don't need to work the entire land, you just use it as reference and, like you said, you work it around [up] :)
