Some days the best thing about this forum is not going on it...
They're rants and rage quitters always seem to creep back in lol
I was goings to say that there still is a quite an actives forum, but i do not knoes what this thread is?

I have two things that both make me laugh and infuriate me.
When there is an announcement of something, say ship interiors, we get 15 new threads all detailing basically the same position.
The other is when any post talks about 'what most players want' or variations on that theme. Even on an issue like ADS v FSS, if you go into each camp, you find divisions about what is either best or worst about each system.

Meh... nothin wrong with a good rant... and I always get a chuckle out of rage quitters
I find the advice I get here helpful.
Oh yeah, people who seem to specifically create an account just to tell us they're deleting the game. I know that is rage quit but it is the upper level of doing so. Still angry enough after creating the account to write the post.

I am sorry to say this but my friend and who have both played elite since it very first started will no longerplay this wonderful game if it isn't fixed in June. We have talked at length about this and this our conclusion. Regards Cmdr Bazmeson
And honestly, it's not a patch on the 'Guardians are hot carniverous space elves' thread, complete with fan art. I doubt the forum will ever see its like again.

When I first joined the forum the level of knowledge and anger within Dangerous Discussions was eye opening but I kept coming back. The reason, simple, the level of aggressive misunderstanding contained within threads like the KiAsp classic. Followed by the rainbow of replies; from the genuine help offered, the casual sarcasm, a stream of memes to rising anger and further misunderstanding from both OP and responders.
On the other hand I’ve learned I’m all too often entertained by the cheap and tawdry, which brings me on to my second ‘best thing,’ I’m always learning something here.....it may not always amount to much but it’s enough to bring me back.

Now that's a classic.
It also makes you feel good when you're able to give some helpful advice. ED isn't the easiest game to get a grip on for a newcomer.
I once asked someone why they had a Star Citizen thread on this forum and they said because this forum is more tolerable than the official SC forums. Apparently anything bad written about the game just gets removed / people get banned etc. Just goes to show there are much worse forums out there than this one
