Best use for a Python..?

Ok, so I have a bunch of ships for various occasions.. A pimped up Viper for CQC situations.. A Cobra for mining, a 30 million ASP for exploration and Passenger missions and up until just recently a 75 million Federal Assault ship for combat.. Now I Exchanged it for a Python.
Then I found myself wondering how Im gonna make any money with the Python.. Ok, its a decent combat/trader..

I know it was nerfed a while ago, but what do *you* primarily use the Python for?

Mission running. But there are no missions, so...

It's a pretty good ship for pirating NPCs. It can tank the police response in med sec, plenty of space for internals and utility while still leaving more than enough for cargo. And the lack of agility doesn't really matter against Type 7s and 9s.

I use mine for exploration, or abusing Thermal Conduit large beam lasers, of which I have three. They're one of the few special effects that haven't been nerfed!

It's my main mission runner.

I've used it for assassinations.
I've used it for haulage missions.
I've delivered data with it.
I've done pretty much all of my passenger work with it.
I've shot skimmers with it.
I've flown it in CZ's.

Unengineered; Multi role ship that can defend itself.
Does many things ok, but nothing great.
Each passing update seems to weaken it. From heat & power changes, to rail Asps release, be careful if taking it in combat.

It's an excellent mining ship, I have one permanently configured as a miner and a second one as a cargo/passenger/multi role vessel.

You can do pretty much anything in it, but I tend to use mine as a miner. It's probably the best mining ship in the game in terms of efficiency when it comes to cargo space vs limpets.

Everything. It can literally do everything. It's the best multirole ship IMHO. The only thing it can't do is fighters. Stock a rated it can fight but you will need to use SCB's. Once engineered Its a beast. Elite condas? No problem. I don't even take out the cargo racks and SRV and just take it into combat zones as fitted. I've taken down NPC cutters in CZ's with it. If I get intradicted I always fight and I never lose. I tried the same in a clipper and had my canopy blown up.

I found it to be an epic ship at almost any task. Though once you have enough money you tend to drift away and outfit specialised ships for combat, trading, exploration, etc. Although I never used mine for exploration, I did everything else with it. I only recently sold mine, but that was because I resurrected the Anaconda I used to have to replace it entirely for mining and hauling and I also have dedicated exploration and combat craft. Quite literally, the best use for the Python is whatever use you see fit for it at the time, go nuts and make it yours.

I used mine primarily as a combat ship for the longest time, since 1.4. More recently she's been my larger mission runner up until I got my Cutter. Since the mission situation started and the Cutter is now my main combat ship, I haven't really moved my Python but I was thinking about using her for missions again once that gets sorted. (if it gets sorted)

That said, the Python's so versatile that it could really be used for anything in the game and wouldn't need a lot done to it in terms of refitting it.

Shooting stuff and smuggling. A fully engineered Python is a lovely thing:) Fingers crossed for the ship kit this week (im staying positive after 4 weeks of it not arriving!).

Python is not a great combat ship in my opinion. It is however, a great mission runner, as it can land at outposts and defend itself reasonably well.
