Its taking a while.....But like the original Elite when travelling to a planet from the system.... looking from rear view seemed to make it go faster..

So im browsing ...and it seems to be working

It suits my needs, normally if I want to download a game off Steam then I just do it at night (it also kills my internet connection)

Cannot wait until tomorrow, having not played Elite, but having played all manner of other space sims, this is the game I have been waiting for

Is there anything to do before upgrading? Like uninstalling the game? I have the latest launcher.

Make sure no other applications are using the files ED Launcher is currently syncing/updating: that includes anti viruses, of course.
Run the launcher as an Admin. If that does not help: clean install.

Lighting is superb now.

Even the sound has been tweaked nicely.

This game suddenly feels 100% more Elite in its size. I don't know what to check out first!
