Oh my word. About 50% downloaded, grinning like an idiot reading sexy patch notes, good times.
And then there's the shiny new Rift DK2 I just got, sitting there being all futuristic. Have only tested the demo scene to make sure it works (it does, wonderfully!), really hoping it works well with beta as I want Elite: Dangerous to be my first proper VR experience. Might get a bucket just in case.

Well, it's late, I'm old/lazy/tired, & I could be in bed with a soft warm wife (mine !) so I think I'll leave updating until tomorrow when things might have quietened down a little.

did anyone who is getting the red online button have the premium beta/alpha? Just wondering if they're temporarily stoping standard beta people from joining for some reason
Finished downloading several minutes ago: still could not load the game, as apparently there's a connection problem with the server...?
anyone having the same problem?
edit: it works now. Online button is red (I'm a Premium Beta player, btw), so I can't play.

Huh. I was just being funny; I thought it would be fun to play the disappointed parent facing down straight A student who maybe got an A- in phys. ed. (not that I have any experience with that, oh no).
I mostly don't follow the massive flame wars and OH NOES you are STEALINGS! I am going to SUE you and then YOU will be in SO MUCH TROUBLE! threads. Although on reflection, it is a damn effective parody of that position. My subconscious is evidently just terribly clever.

I think it was 293 before (with all pips to engines).
Same. Managed to jump thru two systems and arrived at Aulin. Was nearing the station to look at the new graphics and then bam! Kicked out and cant get back in yet.
I was cool about the new build, was a case of "yeah Ill have a look". I totally underestimated the work FD have done.
