This list looks awesome. Fantastic work guys, you've clearly put in some serious man-hours there and cosumed wast amounts of coffee :D Can't wait for the Premiere!

...and 10 lines from the bottom we have:
"You can now scan asteroid clusters to the basic level, much like planets, etc"

Yay. Great news for us miners....just need a ship big enough for a scanner and a refinery now. Damn that reset ;D

"- Permits needed to access systems within excluded regions or specific systems requireing permits (like Sol)"

I can somehow see why you would add that. But what exactly would prevent us from flying there? Is this in any way logical or just gameplay stuff we have to accept and is not explained further?
[...]
Yeah I understand what a permit is, I wonder how this is enforced. What prevents me from sneaking into such a system - technically? "You are not allowed to go there" is not enough for me.

EDIT: Being shot on sight is far more "realistic" for me than being unable to go there.

I still don't understand how this would work. Even if there's some kind of hyperjump disruptor, I still could just fly there in Supercruise (yes I know right now this does not work in-game). Never thought I'd have to say that (and didn't want to initially), but it seems to....break...my...immersion. Puh, that was hard to say. Now it's out, shame on me. :/

So sorry for enjoying an added feature, even if it wasn't the one YOU wanted. My apologies. Maybe some of us don't want to leave the resource field to find a station, to transfer to another ship, just to head back to the resource zone....

I think you misinterpreted what I said. The ability to *trade* cargo with other players, such as leaving it at a dock and picking it up and/or being able to place your own goods in the trade system has been a requested feature since basically Kickstarter.

It's cool you can do the cargo scoop, but it isn't an added feature - indeed, it's just *disabling* scooped cargo flagged as a PC cargo from being marked stolen.

Kidding? Singleplayer much?

Yes, yes I play singleplayer most of the time. Why? Because with all the resets, noob learning curve and random (bug-related) loss of stats, I want a safe haven to earn enough creds (and as such, a better ship) first before moving to multiplayer.

I have yet to see any real advantage to playing multiplayer. No, I'm not one of the offline hold-outs; I accepted a LONG time ago this was never going to happen (anyone who understands the concept of a persistent environment, generated content and in general, how the trade system works should have known long before Braben confirmed it that offline was a non-option), nor did I want it to. However, with the multiplayer environment, I have to deal with pirates and griefing, as well as additional network performance issues.

Up till now, there's been no communication in-game, no way to create an actual team/faction, no way to create a squad, etc. Sure, you could group up but why? There's no multiplayer aspect to this game yet, simply a sandbox where lots of players can go and do the same single-player adventure.

I'm not criticizing; I love a good one-player game, too. But so far that's what ED is.

This is why I have not been on here for a while. I thought op 3.9 I will google about it while at work. So many people moaning about it need a network connection. Why would anyone think these days that you would not need a connection. Most of the games on Xbox1 and PS4 wont work without a connection. This is a game that will grow and will need updates. We still have single player mode so I just don't see why people are against it.

Great update!

The new chat/friend function worked superb. Within 20 minutes of play in the new update i made a buddy. :) The ease of hooking up makes it possible so that was nice. Also having a radar icon of friends make it easy to see where they are around you.

Now all we need is grouping option and reward sharing. We chased some wanteds but last hit gets the reward so that doesnt work too well. Hope this gets implemented. As simple as possible is ok for me as long as when you are grouped you share the reward money from bounties etc.

Anyway, the new update is great and lots of fun. Thanks guys & gals!

You what now?
Haha :D Horse head nebulae i guess. Looks great. Real neat to have something to look at when flying around. :)

My first impressions of this build are good - stuttering in SC has been dramatically reduced for me.
Looking forward to the Gamma :)

Hats off to the Devs for delivering again.

Fantastic work FD! Only got to play an hour last night but was very impressed.

Best moment was first undocking from Azeban Orbital and flying in super cruise round to the other side if the planet, along with about 20 other players going in the same direction- no sign of lag, stuttering and dropped out at the station with barely any delay!

Not bad considering the patch had only just dropped and Eranin was full of players!
