Beta release time?

Devs said it will be 10 GB.
(Gosh, I'm old. I remember times when this was the size of a hard disk, now it's a "small" file size for a game.)
10 GB for the beta were announced
Awesome! I know I won't get the 500+MB/sec that my Internet speed is rated and does test at on this download because there are other factors involved, but if I did I'd have it in 2 min 49 sec.

That's how true friendship is defined, isn't it?Beta is over for me before it even starts. A fire in the neighbourhood killed my internet connection one hour ago. No one knows when it's repaired. I can visit friends for internet but don't know if my Laptop will be good enough. I definitely won't be able to stream and start my new YouTube channel. The repairing could take weeks. I'm more devasted than I ever thought I could be.
Okay, so I might be a little bit clueless on computers, but is RAM storage space?

In 'I'm not nearly as technically skilled as I'd like to be' language: RAM is computer memory that allows your computer to read and write code as quickly as possible, storage space is your hard drive size and determines how much you can store on your drives. You need a minimum of 8GB RAM (But we recommend 16GB) and at least 16GB of available hard drive space. I am sure someone else can explain the specifics of these terms a lot better than I can
RAM stands for random access memory. It is where the most recent data you need available is stored and having more RAM can result in games running faster. Storage is your hard drive - where you install programs and store your save files. SSD (solid-state drive) storage is faster than traditional HHD (hard disk drive) which have a disk that spins, SSD has no moving parts. Hope this helps

thanks! I have 16 GB of ram on the pc, but only around 15.8 of it is available for me to use.
All RAM and storage is like that, Windows always reports under a tiny bit. 15.8 is fine

1) Will Planet Zoo benefit from a SSD installation (other than when starting the game, of course). Is there constant reloading of assets during playtime?
2) Does the game benefit from even more RAM? Currently, I have the recommended 16 GB, but wonder if this is the right time to upgrade. Is more better for Planet Zoo? (Edit: vRAM is 6 GB)

I wouldn't change to SSD just for a game, the speed difference would be barely noticeable. Where you do notice SSD speed is with the time it takes Windows to boot up or heavy programs like PhotoShop to run. You wouldn't notice it in a game.
I run 32GB of DDR4 ram myself but I suspect it's overkill

What most people do is just use their SSD for Windows, programs and games and their HDD for storage. If you can move saved games to your HDD you will free up a lot of space on there. You don't want your SSD too full, it will slow it down as you need a decent amount of cache space free on there for programs and games to run well.
