For interest sake I was playing solo this weekend on a cell phone connection since my GF's internet is down for 3 weeks now (the pleasures of living in a 3rd world country) and it's perfectly playable despite latency varying between 200 and 500ms.

Bandwidth usage is minimal and often at zero.
