I wasn't sure where to put this but this is closest to its topic so i'm putting it here.

Can someone tell me if this timeline is accurate/official: http://elite-dangerous.wikia.com/wiki/Elite_Timeline
if not then ignore the rest of the post and inform me.

If it is accurate then i have a complaint. In the year 3296 it states that Betelgeuse went supernova and yet it is still present in game.
Extract from timeline:
Deep space probes return with news that the star, Betelgeuse, went supernova. The Alliance Science Council dispatches hundreds of deep space probes to study the nova

It is a Complied time line is from Elite Oolite Frontier and First Encounters so not official as it tires to merge Galcom and Gal Corp to the Federation empire dynamic with was ignore in FE2 and FFE
None of the Time line from the First three games covered 3255 to 3300 and the Betelgeuse supernova was set up for unofficial fiction If I recall correctly
