Better Terrain Textures

Yes, having all terrain brushes on all biomes would indeed be great to have in Planet Zoo.

However, it is most likely not possible due to technical limitations (in favour for game performance) just like with Planet Coaster.

Personally I wouldn't like it. It already bothers me that they insist (like in Zoo Tycoon) on having a specific "savannah grass" that is yellow, when in reality the African savannah especially is usually green in the wet season like, you know, nearly all other grasslands and prairies. Besides which, real zoos don't literally uplift terrain from other countries and continents to put into their exhibits.

Aesthetically I can see your point, as the tropical soil is a much richer, darker soil that better resembles garden soil, but we have the mulch items to serve the same purpose.

I would also like darker mud or soil.

Clearly there are these earth objects. But these are items that affect computer performance.

Different grass colors and something would also be nice, there is not only one type of grass.

Basically it would be my wish to have more choice.

If it doesn't work, then there's no broken leg.

It is true, that you will not find yellow grass in let's say European zoo. But it is also true that savanna animals in those zoos do not have all lush green grass. They will use yellowish dirt. (https://www.zoopraha.cz/images/Aktualne/Po_cem_chodi_zirafy.jpg) For now we have (in tropic zoo) only lush green grass and very dark brown dirt. The only thing that could look better in those habbitats is the sand one (but savanna animals do not want that many sand texture). I would like if we have more yellowish dirt texture, then gravel texture and concrete texture. It would help with performance (people would use gravel/concrete textures instead of blocks) and solve this savanna grass problems.

Yeah, I've been saying for ages that I'd like to be able to use some kind of baked mud terrain for savannah exhibits, and that some kind of asphalt paint would be incredibly useful. I've also been saying that I'd like generic trees since zoos don't plant trees specific to an animal's natural habitat either. The game isn't as realistic as it could be, but I think it's necessary to have these limitations for things like Franchise Mode where part of the challenge is keeping the animals happy. In Sandbox, you can turn off welfare and do basically whatever you want which is definitely more conducive to building a realistic zoo.

"Yellowish Dirt"

In common language also known as sand....
Except it is not. "Yellowish dirt" (the one I meant) is light colored clay, mostly limestone. Sand is made up from particles of quartz and other material. It is not the same thing. Sand is more rough than clay and not so popular with animals (and I guess zookeepers - it gets everywhere :) ). And mostly - savannah animals in PZ do not want sand. They want dirt. I do use sand texture outside habitats but I would like to use them inside without animals being angry about it.

Yeah, that's why I reported my own post for removement. I wasn't correct on that one.

what also would be really neat is the possibility to paint your trees and stones with snow, i dont actually wnat to have pure snow or icy stones just some small snow patterns on them

I agree, the animal Ostrich, for example, has the Savanna biome, but I can't put it because my zoo is in a tropical region. This is difficult, because how am I going to make a biome requested by the game itself if I don't have this option?

That's for foliage, not grass color. You can put any animal in any region as long as the plants and temperature are correct.

What this topic is about is being able to place any ground color in an enclosure, regardless of location. (Ex: yellow grass in a european zoo)

Oh yes, I'm sorry, I expressed it wrong 😅, I can put it, but I would really like to put it in an environment with yellow grass on my rainforest / temperate map.
Please, Frontier, help us!

The title "better terrain textures" makes me think more of better resolution when zoomed in rather than more variety to the actual texture types. I would of course want more types of terrain, but this wouldn't be possible from an engine standpoint. However, regarding my first comment, I would love better resolution for the actual terrain when zoomed close enough, as well as better camera angle suitability for smaller animals and babies. These two features would make "micro navigation" a better experience.
