Beware: Don't log out without handing in your completed missions!

Just a heads up. Saw a thread about this the other day, just happened to me. I just logged in and found about 15m of completed missions and another 20m of accepted (but not completed) missions had disappeared. Only 2 uncompleted planetary scan missions had remained for some reason.

Off to raise a ticket now.

Please keep this thread up folks so people don't get bit by this, it hurts!! All last night's effort gone! (I'm sure I'll get it back, cos FD are great like that, but if people can avoid it all the better!)

Isn't this "just" a case of the timer running out? I mean you have to cash in the mission before the timer, and if you let it lying over night it will end as uncompleted ?

there wasn't a timer under 1 day on my list when I logged. I had just loaded up the mission list before going to bed with the intent of coming home from work and flying vs. hunt-n-peck mission selection.

No way, there was still plenty of time on all of the missions. Besides, they aren't removed from the journal when that happens anyway.

Lost my Imperial Navy rank up because of that.

There is also a bug when you look at the mission on transactions tab, the rewards are always wrong.

They're trying to make the game live up to it's name - Dangerous to play, Dangerous to quit.

Anyway, that sucks, will watch out for that - thx for the heads up. Wonder if that's contributing to all the Ram Tah missions going walkabout...

Lost a nice passenger mission last week to this.
Previously it was just Ram Tah's Guardian Logs mission that went missing on me.

Perhaps this is the long-awaited fix for Combat Logging - loss of all missions in-progress.

This happened to me on .4 (plus quite a few other players on the bug forum), was hoping it was serious enough for them to plug it in .5 - not good when an online game can't remember your game state between sessions.

Curious.

Fortunately so far didn't happen to me.
And I almost always have some open missions both not started at all and finished ones. Leaving my ship somewhere in space or docked before loggin out.

Might that be a platform related issue?
I'm on PS4.

This happened to me recently, but at the time I chalked it up to me misremembering what I had turned in. I'm not interested in raising a ticket to get my rewards, but I'm very interested in getting this fixed.

Had a friend lose a long-range passenger mission yesterday - I think it was to the Devil's Dancefloor IIRC. So unless you can make the trip in one sitting (or leave your game running long enough lol), don't try the long range missions!

I happened to me, too, but it worked to my advantage.

I forgot to finish a bunch of massacre missions before I left for vacation two weeks ago, so I expected a bunch of failed mission messages when I logged in tonight. Instead, I got...nothing. No rep loss or anything.

Just asking to rule out another probable reason - isn't it maybe related to recent patches? Like you take missions while 3.0.3., log out, 3.0.4. rolls in and your mission log is wiped? It shouldn't happen but we know better how reality approaches toward "it should be ok now".

3.04 and 5 patch both effected missions/data IIRC, so it's probably just teething problems with the upgrade.

Support are pretty nice about reimbursing people, if you think it's worth it.
