Beware if you have to restart your franchise

Players were given 500 extra cc's if they played the beta, which was great. However, if you experience bugs and problems in your franchise in the full release and have to start the franchise or zoo over you don't get those cc's back and your new zoo starts with a measly 200 cc's. This is a game killer!

I clicked on the franchise tab to start a franchise but backed out before starting one and went into career mode instead. Now I've completed the first three career levels and started a franchise properly I've only got the 200cc.

I had the same problem I started a franchise bought some deluxe animals with the issue and a few others so I had to delete it. I lost my beta gift CC and had to start over with the normal amount. Tbh its a bit gutting but I still love this game and adds more to the challenge I will just cash purchase animals and have mass breeding programs till I have more CC. I have many years to enjoy this game.

Argh. I didn't even think of that.
I started a game in sandbox mode, then realized I need to do the tutorials again because I've forgotten how the controls work.
Now when I start another game, I won't have the 500 credits any more. 😕

Not sure how you can call the NORMAL amount a game killer unless you mean to say that everyone who didn't play in beta can't play franchise mode because they don't get enough CC?

It's pretty simple. One gets gifted 500 cc's for playing the beta. In the full release they experience bugs and issues that cause them to attempt to restart the franchise mode in hopes of fixing those bugs and issues. They come to find that because they restarted the franchise mode they lose the cc's that were gifted to them. They subsequently lose desire to play the game.

The fact is the 500 additional cc's should not have been a one time deal. Especially when the dev's knew there were still bugs and issues players would be faced with in the game.

You're also missing my point. The VAST majority of players were not in beta and never get that 500cc bonus. So if 200cc isn't enough to play the game then they have a much larger problem.

I was not in the beta as I didnt have a computer capable of running the game at the time.

I have been playing franchise, with just the starting credits given. I am currently sitting just shy of 8k cc. While it would suck to lose 500 free credits, it by no means makes the game unplayable.

If 200cc is not enough you can try reselling some animals. I do not know if it is an intended playstile, but hey they included the free market... ;)

if you want to close your franchise - close it last thing at night before you go to bed and open a new blank franchise and immediately close then next morning when you gain another 100cc so you start with 300 instead

on a game hurter then instead of a game killer

Thanks for the feedback! We will have a look at how many players have been affected with regards to losing their extra credits.

Just for extra information, there are quite a few ways to get Conservation Credits; there's a daily bonus, participation in Community Challenges, using the animal market, or releasing animals to the wild.
