Biomes

In the Biomes we do have all the textures seem washed out or very close to each other. There is no real contrast between them. It seems like they made just one texture and then cloned it with a change in brightness or contrast and gave it a different name.

They really cut corners compared to the first game or even RCT3. There is no scenario editor in PC2 or the ability to swap biomes in existing parks or swap ground textures like put sand in a biome that doesn't normally have sand. RCT3 lets you have all textures in one park but PC1 limits you to a certain amount of textures in a park. I really wanted a biome editor in 2 where you could create your own "skirts" around the park besides pre-made ones that you can't edit outside of the park boundary.
 
There were three other biomes that were in PC1 that I guess need to be readded into PC2:
  • Desert (could be added in a summer DLC to go with the Western Theme)
  • Arctic (will likely be included with a Christmas-themed DLC in December)
  • City (used the same sandbox landscape as Alpine/Taiga, might need to have new variants for other biomes)
 
Yes, please add the ability to swap the textures in each biome. I'm always starting a park in a one biome, just to realize much later that I want a texture that wasn't included. So this ability needs to be something you can change at any time, not just before you start a park... for people like me who forget to check which textures are included in a biome until its too late to switch. :rolleyes:
