I got these all in the past week or so.
I just fully engineered my Cutter before that.

It seems to me that the only missions offereing materials are the lowest rank missions.

I just looked thrugh both the mission bord and the passenger lounge and anything offering materials was lowes rank for that type. Mostly harmess, mostly penniless, and aimless.

This i think is the route of this.

I shal dedicate tonight to finding a mission that offeres materials that is of high rank...

Thats fine, modulars are there, very very rare but they are there I have seen them. Biotech and efm are only offered as mission rewards. Mef ok we at least have a chance to get those from point scan. Took me about 8 sites to get 6 in total. But I guess thats ok.

I've been filing bug reports and basically not taking missions since 2.4.02 because only the same 5 mats and the same 5 data types appear over and over at 200 boards, most flipped several times. I am triple elite. I am allied with most of the factions in the 6 systems I regularly dock at. Bought a Beluga in case my 'vanishing mats' were only given on luxury passenger missions. Have been playing since 1.0 so it's not a case of 'noob with a bad RNG needs patience'. Honestly please don't dismiss these reports as 'confirmation bias' or the double whammy of nerfed credits and annihilated mats basically means I'm on my last few logins now (and suspect many others are) as my only rewards now are of the roleplaying kind.

Without going into trap of overgeneralisation as you just did, I want to point out that Dominic pointed out that they are aware about missions spawning less that some people want them to, but they do spawn.

Instead of assumption why dont you qa this game and try to find the problem we all have. Maybe fdev need a new team of quality control, im gladly offer my possition, but Im from Europe... all that brexit and stuff...

Ok i found one! I found a mission! That offeres mats, and is not low rank... i found one thats elite! Offering 2 exquisite focus crystals... i cant take the mission and i want bio tech but they DO exisit...


However litraly every single mission other than this one that gives any mats is lowest rank and offers garbage.

Show me a recent (post 2.4) screenshot of a mission giving out EFC without having to travel more than 5000 ly and I'll buy into your "Overgeneralisation," defense? Or whatever it is you're doing. Inventory screenshots don't count. Otherwise stop jumping in where an official response is expected. You ain't getting a star on your forehead for this.

Im prety shure now that all the materials exist in the game.. the problem is not that the matss are missing its that all missions that offer materials are very low rank only. With the extremely rare exeption the seems to be elite only.

Ok im mot elite anywhere yet. Does that mean all those gentlemen and ladies who did not spent 1000 hrs in the game have no chance to acquire g5 mats to enjoy their 50£ game fully?

Pay attention to the rank.. im only looking at missions that give materials.

From my experiance mission are spawned independently from your personal rank. And you can take them regardless of what your rank is in any career. Its basicaly just a difficulty and reward level for the mission.


At 2.50 you will see the focus crystals..

Which rank do you want? I'm Dangerous, Pioneer, and Broker (I think.)

Not sure why the rank matters, since there is nothing stopping you from taking higher ranked missions.
