Biotech enhancements for CMDR's

We're just beginning to develop artificial enhancements to the human body and brain already, presumably more could be developed in a thousand years! There might be ethical constraints imposed (as with AI), but this technology should be available on the black market at least, and the existence of Pranav Antal's sim-archive of memories implies that merging humans and machines isn't entirely forbidden.

So here's a suggestion:

Each CMDR has two "module slots", for one physiological (body) modification and one neurological (brain/mind) one. You can't take these out and store or sell them, adding a new one overrides the existing one in that slot, and you lose the money you spent on it.

Physiologial Enhancements

Control Interface: you can fly your ship using transponders embedded in your body, the ship becomes a "part of you". Your improved control gives a bonus to the ship's Agility rating, in normal space and in supercruise.

Gravity Compensation: when Space Legs comes out, whatever is impemented to simulate the effects of inconveniently high or low gravity, this compensates for it.

Oxygen Conservation: you need less oxygen than normal. Your rate of oxygen depletion on emergency life-support, or in a spacesuit (assuming Space Legs lets you go walkabout in an airless or toxic environment) is halved.

Neurological Enhancements

Data Interface: you can link your mind with computers, and you have processors and data storage in your head. All scanning and data-accessing operations run 50% faster than normal (completing in 2/3 of the usual time), and sensor range is increased by 20% (they are your "eyes"). Also, you do not lose your cartographical data if your ship is destroyed (it's in your head), nor do you lose data-delivery mission data.

Consciousness Transfer: you can transfer your consciousness to a cloned copy of your body (which might have a different physiological modification). Unused bodies are stored in a comatose state. You can have these stored at a station or transferred to your location (rather like ship/module trasfer, but cheaper), or you can carry them around (each body, with its life-support and consciousness-tranfer system, fits in a standard 1t cargo canister). You can also have your consciousness "beamed" to a body stored at a distant station, effectively teleporting your mind across the galaxy. This modification is likely to be expensive (50 million for adding it to your current body, plus another 100 million for each cloned body with this modification preinstalled). It would be resonable to make this a powerplay reward for supporting Pranav Antal, and limiting the remote-transfer option to function only while you have the maximum rank with that power, limiting its availability.

I likey your ideas. Maybe having android crew for those like the viper series or any single seater man the turrets to either hand over control of your turrets or to man them yourself in a telepresence sense maybe having banter from your crew as you fly would be good you could even hand control over to your android crew so that when space legs comes out you can retire to your quarters
