Black Hole

Funny this pops up now, I've just completed a tour of 4 black holes around the HYPO AUF AA-A H37 nebula. I only took pics of 2 of them though;

And the positions of each system;

On my way to SA* next, for the big one!

Some cool shots there!

Here's my first contribution, I believe this was one of the very first black holes I had ever encountered:

And when we're talking about black holes, somebody's gonna do it anyway, so why not me. Here's Sagittarius A*:

I've posted those screenshots in other threads before, but I thought I might as well add them here too. :)

Man, I really hope Black Holes get some love from Frontier. They could be so much more interesting. But they're still cool.

Anyway, my first visit to Sagittarius A* was pretty cool, IMHO.

Unfortunately Cygnus X-1 isn't very exciting to visit, so it's really the historical significance that makes it interesting:

I've just got a bit of your run of the mill stuff here and there. Definitely interested in the thread though. That first picture posted looks amazing. It's so... smooth.

Yeah I came in a bit too close on those first 2 shots. Think I was about about 30km away when I accidentally hit the exclusion zone. The lensing was pretty trippy.

I've yet to encounter any systems with more than 1 black hole, nor have I discovered any for myself yet. Long terms goals that.

That looks mighty awesome (also mighty post-processed, but I don't mind in this case). ;)

Not so post-processed, I only added a grain filter and set the slide to proper value. No other enchantments, original below. And that it why this system is awesome. You can get one of the best lensing effects on the Barnards Loop and amazing and rich background colors as well, not to mention that "black hole sun" ;) in line with other celestial bodies in the system which is really rare sight just under our noses.

Well, I can't believe my luck, just found my first undiscovered, and it's a spicy find indeed;

Black hole/neutron/white dwarf combo! I just randomly decided to do a quick scan of the map after several jumps and there it was, not 40ly away. Gona be a while before I get to a station to cash this one in though now.

Put a "Like" on your post not because of your (pretty cool) photographs, but because you took them while flying a DBX. I love that ship far too much...

The A & B holes showed no observable lensing before i hit the exclusion zones,despite repeated attempts.
When escaping the E hole( the smallest, way out on the edge of the system), had the weird effect of the galactic plane shrinking/contracting into itself before expanding again into it's normal ribbon appearance.
The distorted nebula in the upper right corner of the attatchment is the Heart Nebula.

If you're near the NGC 7822 nebula, there's a whole cluster of O-type stars there where you'll find close to 30 different black holes. There's a lot of Geo and Bio POIs to check out as well.
