One option I would personally enjoy: allow us to research increased chance to breed a colour variant, that's how Zoo Tycoon 3 did it and I always enjoyed doing that research.

Great idea. The chance shouldn't be over 25 % though. I mostly play sandbox and with additional breeding bonus, even the hard to bree animals are instantly pregnant. If the percentage would be too high, we would be flooded with special color variants.

That would be awesome. Personally I'm not a fan of deliberately breeding albinos, as in real zoos that would be counterintuitive to the goals of conservation, but even I would love to be able to plop down a white tiger or something for a little bit of extra "pizazz" in sandbox mode. Of course as discussed black jaguars are far more common and occur in nature a lot of the time, so being able to easily acquire one would be brilliant.

People who play in sandbox can barely ever get albinos as it is. It'd be nice if there was a higher chance of getting them, at least for sandbox easy mode.

I think they should have a chance to appear In animal market in sandbox and challenge. For example it is not a good idea to breed white tigers, but zoos sometimes take in those rescued from pet trade and the like. So an increased chance to get them in the market would be alright for me.

For me this would even be better than an increased rate when breeding.

They already do have the chance to appear in the market. I once found an albino boa constrictor in the sandbox exhibit market, and more recently a titan beetle of all things.

It's a very, very slim chance, but it is already possible.

Yes I also saw one exhibit albino once in career mode. Never any habitat animal though. I think the chance could be increased a bit.

I've never seen any in challenge mode. I'd like to have the option to buy them at least from time to time. I didn't care for the albinos, but the black panther would be really cool to have and I don't want to set up a breeding farm in my precious and well-running challenge zoos. So increasing that chance would be fantastic for offline-players!

I agree, I play challenge mode a lot as well, but never seem to get albino's on the market, so I guess melanistic ones are rare as well.

I get it's supposed to be "Challenge mode", but increasing the chances would be nice.
