Black Market Network Failing to update (also the dweller unlock progress)

So I was hoping to unlock the dweller engineer, yet when I have been selling illegal cargo/stolen goods to 5+ stations I noticed that the number of networks within my black market as well the number to unlock the dweller remains untouched.

Is anyone else having this problem?

You have sold to different stations haven't you? The black market contacts all have to be unique, I.e. sell 5 black market goods to 5 different stations.

Yes I have been invited by the dweller (currently sat at 0/5) and black market network is the number of markets you are in contact with (in status on right hand panel ).
Yes I have been to 5 separate markets- I even have the 2 achievements involving selling and using the markets.
Just none of my profile in game is being updated.

This may be a silly question, but, did you try logging out and back in?
It seems that many of the things I do ingame require me to log out, and back in for them to register completely.

Engineers progress bars are often slow to update. Your stats in right panel should show you how you're doing...

The Dwellers home system Wyrd actually has 3 of the 5 black markets needed at each of its main stations which can save you some time. Hope this helps.

Edit: A quick way of getting stolen goods without risking smuggling them into the stations is to take a cheap cargo mission and then discard it in your transactions. Just make sure you can afford the fine and aren't bothered by a minor local rep hit.

Yeah I have tried logging in and out a few times :/. It's just not updating my black market visits at all- are any of you currently Involved in powerplay? Was wondering if my allegiance is affecting this (don't see why it would).

Yes me to ,been trying all day.Never had this problem on PC.I have done slaves and illegal goods in different systems and same systems,i have no idea !!!
Please let me know if you find a solution .

This was a bug a while ago where the black market trade did not immediately show in the Dwellers engineer screen. The number and bar of how many black market dealings on the Dwellers engineers screen was slow to update. It will eventually update but you can try a save and exit after every trade and it will register. You also have to buy the prohibited illegal goods for that station that has a black market. You can see what is prohibited in the system map when you select a station and look at the left side station description. Illicit cargo you found does not count I believe. You'll also have to pay him 500k when you eventually unlock him. Is he really worth the hassle and credits?

This bug may have reared is ugly head again or was it never fixed? I have yet to unlock him so I hope the b'stard doesn't give me the runaround.

He is the gateway engineer to much better ones involving lasers and power distributers which makes him quite important when it comes to accessing a large portion of the energy based engineers unfortunately :/.

I would submit a ticket

When i unlocked the Dweller, the progress bar didn't update immediately for me, it was only after a hyperspace jump that it would update, and then to get it to 5/5, i had to log out and back in again

Hi

I am having the same problem.

Before I started I noticed that the number of black market levels was 2/5 so I guess I had done it before I had tried to unlock specifically for the 'Dweller'. It is set at 2/5 and the bar reflects that.

Have bought illegal slaves and sold 1 each to 5 different black markets where slaves are prohibited just in case

The number of black markets that have been unlocked is still stuck at 2/5

Do you get the invite after you do 5/5 or does that happen before?

I just noticed that under my smuggling statistics the commodities network says 2 and the commodities smuggled says 26.

Should the commoditries network now be at least 5?

I don't understand why it hasn't gone up as I went to 5 different locations etc.

15 black markets visited, illegal goods (slaves) all prohibited , even tried stolen cargo...5 hours wasted, still on 1/5 market networks, absolute garbage...This bug has been around on pc for over a year and a half, now slipped onto console and still nothing has been addressed...Shoddy work again when it comes to bug squashing by FD...
Sort it out please, its very amateurish

Still not fixed to this day.
Can't get the Dweller to unlock no matter what

Black market networks doesn't update no matter to how many black markets i sell illegal goods to.
Relogging doesn't help either.
