Quite agree, Iv played for 5 1/2 years & wouldn't notice if anyone had been calling me anything, names on Ships, names of players I just don't look at that type of thing in the game. Though I'd have to have studied Italian to even work this one out!

However, I can see the faction's point of view & FDEV rules clearly state that offensive naming of players, Ships, whatever are not allowed - though as in RL, who's the one that decides what constitutes an offensive word once 'grey' area's are reached.
Also 'blocking' still doesn't remove an offensive word from the game.....it's still there:unsure:
Yeah, I can see how it's a bit annoying for the OP, but if you end up posting threads about it it'll for sure encourage the player(s) who engage in that sort of trolling to continue to do so. Developing a thicker skin and just ignoring them (or just read the entry and think "sad ****" and move on), thus starving them of attention, is usually the best approach. I'm just glad I'm playing a sole non-famous mercenary and am not attached to a specific area within the game so can easily just ignore/avoid more toxic players if I need to. Double edged sword running these squadrons/PMFs etc in that context I suppose, you'll eventually make enemies and some players take it below the belt unfortunately.

I'll just post the same thing I posted in the ED Italia discord:

Sounds like more of a technical issue to me, ED's system is meant to automatically apply censorship to offensive carrier / ship names. The easiest solution would be to add "STRONZI" to the blacklisted words, I mean if they don't want to do Italian localization is fine, but definitely a better Italian bad words censorship should be a thing (currently you can write lots of bad Italian words and the system won't censor them). I'm sure the problem exists also for other languages tho.
There are more than 6000 languages spoken in the whole world today, I doubt that making a blacklist is full of bad worlds for all of them would be a feasible thing.

Also consider that being this an automated system, it will always be exploitable in some way. The only way to fix this problem once for all is to have Frontier check all carriers and ship names manually.

this is for the automatic censor system but the real problem is the Frontier staff member said, just block him and the problem is resolved

What did he actually do though that is breaking the rules? Your letter is extremely vague. Name specific offenses. So far I'm hearing "this is a mean person."

This is the ED's EULA paragraph. An offensive ship name is regulamented in this paragraph. We notified the problem to Frontier, Frontier did nothing.

THIS IS the problem, Frontier rules are for a toxic-free enviroment but if you report them a toxic behaviour, they ignore you..

EDIT: I'm not upset for the CMDR offence, but for the Frontier answare.
And there are much worse toxic cmdrs out there..

Totally agree Cmdr.........that's my approach too.

In EULA is written than no offence will be tolerated in commander Names and Ships Names. So what?
"Str***i" is not an offence? What about if someone call his ship "Goooost is an as****le"? Did you feel not offended?

Hmmm! but 7.3.2 States that Frontier reserves the right but NOT the obligation to remove any offending content as decribed in 7.3.1.

I think the way to resolve this is simple.

If you have a bounty, you can ONLY play in open.

If you are clean you can play in solo or private group.
The only thing that would encourage more would be clogging. And blocking.

Correct. The problem is the Frontier bheaviour in fact.
For me an healthy company pay attention to rules and the health of its community..
Maybe my vision is different from Frontier and they just care on incomes.. I don't know..

The spirit of this post is: Hey guys, are we ok with this or we want Frontier to pay more attention to this?

Then there are Companies that take people's money & fail to provide a product.......it's a very large spectrum & Frontier fits in there....somewhere

So console players without a premium account can't play anymore as soon as they get a bounty (You may only play solo without premium access, X-Box Gold or what it is called, and the PS4 equivalent)?

Sounds a bit drastic.
Locking people with notoriety gained from player vs. player encounters into the mode where they gained it has more merit. But that is not what this thread is about.

I'll reiterate: Much as I sympathize with the OP, we're talking about words on a screen here. I'm ancient, I know, easily over 20 years old, and lots of things can hurt me and cut me, but words surely can't. I know, once again, I'm from a generation long dead, much like the dinosaurs, relics of a past best forgotten and it will be once we're all dead, where we learned that "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."

I'm not saying this to in any way say "get over yourselves", some things are really offensive and you shouldn't just not give a hoot (although you'll find your life a lot more relaxed if you do), but please understand that the only, only thing you're accomplishing by carrying on about one little [insert word here that would probably be killed by FDev's hypersensitive word filter] is only going to encourage the little [insert another word here filtered to protect the feelings of people who ought to be spanked with a wet newspaper].

You're feeding the troll. Don't feed the troll. Don't fly without rebuy. Don't run with scissors.
