Blue lines connecting systems on Galaxy Map :/

Those lines can be very annoying sometimes, especially when you are closer to centre of galaxy.

I went to visit Cat's Paw Nebula and wanted to have a closer look at stars and where to go next but all view is littered with those blue lines.

Is there any way to switch them off? Even if I look for a certain type of star the lines are still present...

maybe you are talking about the grid?

If so, there is an option in the last panel where you can activate or deactivate certain features such as showing bookmarks, ship indicators, friends and so on...

uncheck "show grid" and it will hide the blue lines and the grid.

Edit: sorry, misunderstood :D don't mind my response lol

Click on the 'eco' / 'fast' button so it unchecks. That clears the lines. Simples ;)

This. The eco/fast buttons look like radio buttons at first, but they can also be both disabled at the same time.

YEY!!! Thank you Commanders o7

Been playing since beta and didn't realise you can switch them off! :D
Always thought you have to have one or the other on.

Thanks :)

For a while after one of the updates you did need to have fast travel (or whatever it's called) activated or else you would revert to economy travel when exiting the map, and your route would replot and be a million jumps longer.
Luckily they fixed that up pretty quickly.

The blue lines are the systems you can possibly jump to. That's why they are so annoying the further your ship can jump and the more stars are in an area. Also why eco routes helps with that.

What are the blue lines?

NOTE: when you select a jump type and unselect the checkbox to remove the lines from the map view, the jump type is still selected. so you can select eco, then uncheck the box, and still generate an eco route
