I think it's the external lights blinking in - I see it too. It's random. Buggy for sure

I thought so too, except i occasionally get, much larger red flashes on the helmet visor as well. Could be something completely different as its always red.
Yesterday, I saw a flash as I descended down to a planet, yep. Thought "oh boy, my 2 month old 3080 FTW3 may be joining the 1000s of others who have seen failures."
It was a weird flash that lasted about 1/4 second, and occupied the top 1/2 of my ship cockpit. The flashes I've seen are reddish, and I am not quick enough with screenshots to capture it so I would have to get it in video.
I've seen this flash 1x since the last update, and I never saw it prior to that update.

me too : when i goto head move in ship,and look around i get flashing lights all over the place including the ship floor area.

Not just that. I'm using NVidia, and I'm getting it quite often.
