Blueprints are Annoying.

I have a large number of blueprints saved in the game. So whenever I go to any of the selection tabs such as: Nature, Habitat, Construction, or Facilities I see my saved Blueprints everywhere in those tabs. It makes it a lot harder to try and find what I am looking for when the Habitat Blueprints keep popping up. It should just be where the Blueprints are only in the Blueprints tab and not also scattered around the other tabs. It would make life a lot easier with the reduced clutter without them there. The default setting should just be to have them turned off, as some people may never notice the small button that allows for you to turn them off. It also has to be redone every time the game is launched which makes it annoying to have to do.

I agree that the default setting of blueprints in the Habitat/Nature/Facilities/Construction tab should be off. It's a bit weird that it's always on.

I'm going to assume that you know this but going to mention it anyway, the icon to the left of the heart allows you to turn off blueprints in those tabs, but only for as long as you're playing. When you restart the game you need to toggle that off again. I'm mentioning it because I'm not entirely sure if you know that it exists as tbh, the icon for it isn't entirely clear 😅

I would also love for the default to be turned off. I have to constantly turn them off too.
I also agree that it can be hard to find items when they have so many tags. I wish we could set them ourselves instead of an automatic tag being added to some.
 
I use a lot of blueprints from the workshop and they do clog all of my tabs. You also can't rename them, unless you go to all the hassle of making your own blueprint from them, which is a nuisance with habitat. And the custom tags don't work either -- the game deletes them randomly, or switches them to some random other object.
 
This is just supposition, but I am guessing the problem with having the game have blueprints "off" as the default is with the actual blueprint tab.

BTW I 100% agree with this thread as well. I think the workshop is amazing and am so thankful to have it. But so many builds have so many blueprint tabs, that the game automatically applies at times. Due to species, building items, etc. It would be really great if we could have the option to remove any tabs manually. That way you don't have habitat blueprints showing up in the nature tab (as just one example)

Actually i"m not sure why the nature tab even would need a blueprint function. None of the items are blueprints as far as I know.

Edit to clarify. I don't think blueprints are annoying. I'm grateful for them. But I think the regimented non-editable blueprint tab system is. At least, as far as preset tabs go. I've made several tabs of my own just to weed through all my blueprints. Then again, I do have around 2500 subscribed workshop items, 90% of which I probably haven't even used yet, so that's on me.

Sounds like we all agree on the blueprint thing. I suspect it might be with how the game initializes the menus and so forth in the programming language used.
