Blurry Textures on the Throttle/Stick and in SRV Hanger?

Not sure when this began, but in my last couple of ED sessions in VR, I have seen some very blurry/muddled textures when looking down on the Throttle or stick plate in the ship, along with poor textures in the SRV hanger prior to the drop to surface. Note, currently I am flying my Asp Explorer, but not sure if some update porked the textures or if there is some sort of down throttling as I also noticed last night that none of the NPC facial portraits displayed while in any starport.

Note, I am running a 1080ti with i5 7600k OC to 4.5ghz, thus hardware is good (played plenty of sessions in VR in past without this issue).

Anyone else see this?

For whatever it's worth, I am on Xbox1 and see this with some regularity. So, I'm not sure it's your machine...seems like something on FDev's end. Maybe?

For lower end hardware a sign of not enough vram, like on xbx.

in this case it could be some corrupted files.

I have only seen this once on my 1080ti and that was when I tried running at an ss of 2.5.

I'm assuming that looked like a gorgeous slide show.

Pretty much, but really anything above 1.5 doesn't really change anything PQ wise.

I was testing how the pimax 8k might fare, but I had gotten the math wrong.
It was slow, yes. I didn't even bother to hit launch.
Probably would have left my lunch on the toast rack if I did.

How's your framerate? If it drops below 30 FPS, ED will automatically switch to low-res textures in an attempt to boost the frame rate. I see this on my 4K monitor, if I set super-sampling too high.

Use Ctrl+F to turn on ED's FPS meter. Green is 60 FPS and above; yellow is 30-59 and red is < 30 FPS. If the numbers are red, that explains your low-res textures. Try reducing your SS if it's not 1.0; otherwise, try using High quality, instead of Ultra.
