Hi, this is a story... a story about a very special keelback... named Bob

Bob is a young keelback on a simple mission: Discover the galaxie and live the life of a spaceship!

Bob is going to take pictures on his travels and will document it so other can see what he sees and maybe other keelbacks might remember him one day.

The Project:

The idea is simple Bob the keelback travels through the Galaxie and documents his journey with photos.
He will do sightseeing research and other activities and share it with all interested.

[Notes: I will try to post a screenshot with a little bit of text every day so you all can observe bobs adventure. And if Bob explodes because of bad manouvering (no shields) pirates, thargoids or even space whales he will not respawn he will just be gone. The goal is to make Bob a not too serious charakter in the elite universe and to make his andventure worth looking at. If you want you can post suggestions things that Bob could do on his journey or just simply comment in this Thread ]


16. June 3302 DAY 1 - Takeoff

This is it the beginning of Bobs journey taking of at Aksyonov terminal in G 97-54 heading towards Merope and for a visit at Obsidian Orbital in Maia

Tell Bob that he needs a little bit of re-programming, so that he not only goes on a mainstream mission that all Explorers go on, but to also find unusual activity out there and potential extraterrestrial life, or even Thargoids. Good luck!

DAY 1 - 16. June 3302 [21:19:34]

Bob is orbiting Merope 2 and happy that he arrived safely he even met his first Cmdr. Cmdr. E. J. Randall as he was on his way to land on Merope 2 A.

[Note: Sadly i cant land on Planets because my Graphic Card cant handle planets [someday i get a better one promised :))

After a short time in Supercruise Bob approches Obsidian Orbital with normal speed...

What should Bob do next? Post some suggestions or send my a PM in the Forums i will chose one of the suggestions. The activity suggested the most will be the one Bob will do! A new one will be chosen after the one before is complete/finished (and so on)


[Note: I do own Horizons but i cant land on planets because my hardware isnt good enough]

Have you tried since 2.1 launched? My gpu 660 ti 2GB really struggled before but now has no problem with planets on High setting. Even before 2.1 I could just about make it playable by reducing terrain quality to medium.

Now how is Barnacle Bob supposed to land and see a barnacle to become Barnacle Bob, if he can't land?
