I know I'll likely get a storm of "why are you doing that? don't do that!"
But when playing in VR, I like to be immersed, use the ships systems rather than a web browser and I do not want to ride the neutron highway by-way of CSV file.
So one of the things which can easily eat an hour of my time is just the galaxy map, sometimes I plot routes I'll never take just to expose neutrons and other times I just delight at the noises the stars make wooshing past my ears ..... whilst I look for "big blue bois" which might unveil a secondary neutron. I then bookmark these for later use.
The other more obvious use for the bookmarks was things like Mat Traders, Tech Brokers and Guardian sites. These were distinguished by sub-system object bookmarking, whereas anything neutron related was a system-bookmark. These bookmarks stopped even having to glance at inara or other sites, which I admit, are super-handy but break that immersion.
But today, I hit an issue where I saved a bookmark and it wouldn't show up, took me a few minutes and clicking around bookmark config to realise I was @ 200/200. This seems a tad tight given the game offers ~400Bn Star Systems alone. I've gone and deleted the traders, brokers, guardians etc. now but it's only bought me ~20 spare bookmarks, I'll soon be back to Square One (if the galaxy map is kind to me). This did not trigger an "Error: Bookmarks full" or similar, so there is at least an UI bug in that you have to check to see why it didn't add.
Obviously I don't expect that many bookmarks but I feel like having 10's even 100's K capacity would allow me to complete my map of the neutron highway in-game. It would also allow me to re-add all the useful Bubble and Guardian sites I previously had booked.
Another thing I think might be handy, but not as essential as my capacity problem, would be if these could be colour coded, there are entire systems I'll want to bookmark probably which I don't want to confuse for neutrons, and even things like separating out the mat traders by 3x types and the 2x types of tech broker, Interstellar factors etc. would make the galaxy map a lot more configurable.
