Lol!
You hacked your way to conda in a conflict zone and now need to learn basic newbie knowledge ?
yeah. . back to station for a refitWhen you press the boost button there are three things that can happen. Here's what they are and why they happen.
1. You boost! Yay!
2. You get the "boost failed" message. If your capacitor is full it means you ignored the "this capacitor will not allow you to boost" message when you bought it. If it isn't full it might just be recharging.
3. Nothing. The boost is still cooling down after the last time. No message is shown in this case.
Of course there is a fairly lengthy list of other things which can happen if you accidentally press another key. Don't do that.
If memory serves the 5A capacitor is the lightest which allows an Anaconda to boost. The 6D capacitor doesn't hold enough charge.
how can you be in a conda and not know this
trying to strip away as much mass form my conda as possible, just left a station to try things out, and got this message.
Assuming this means I need a larger power distributor?
JMG, forget boosting if you want max range on your Conda (40LY) You don't really need boost when exploring. Take a look at this setup http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=606,,2-3I8S9Y8SA0D88I,53cmpa2jw2UI
Add AFMU's and keep them switched off unless needed

I'm debating.. my current range is 35+ LY. The last bit of "luxury" I have on the ship is the (now) a6 power distributor (which only dropped my range by .3ly), and two d6 peashooter turrets (which if I deleted both would give me 1 ly). MAx I've seen for a conda is 40 lys, so..I may stick with what I have.
I'll post my setup in a separate thread once I **ehem** confirm everything actually works.. please... comment away when I do. I'm shooting for a decent tour this time, and the 27 ly range I had last time and fuel scoop time really limited me.

My personal view is if you don't plan on using the conda for max range, you are better off with an Asp. That's why my conda sits in dock 90% of time.
The Conda excels at getting to hard to reach places.
On the topic of power distributors, how can I know how much my weapons will use per second and how much a boost uses for example? I noticed an 8D can power 2 large pulses pretty much for ever but I haven't noticed MJ/s usage on edshipyard or in-game.
Try this thread. It doesn't have everything but it seems to be fairly accurate for what is there. On the topic of power distributors, how can I know how much my weapons will use per second and how much a boost uses for example?
