Bots in cqc to get games running??

Putting bots in cqc would mean insta matchs, ppl wouldnt have to wait, currently if you que you could be in the middle of something, and still there would only be 1 or 2 others, and they normally leave.

Also, it must irritate some that they cant quad elite.

Waiting isn't the problem, lack of interest is. There's a lack of interest because of what I said. CQC was a mistake, there's a much better game with better PvP sitting right next to it on the shelf.

For every person that can't rub one out because of that last meaningless progress bar, there are a thousand who need to be reminded it exists.

Would you like to see bots in cqc to get the games running, and kicked for human players?

Would you also like to see eng mats being a reward in cqc?
Or maybe they could have put CQC in the core game to start with as some actual purposeful engaging fighter bases gameplay from the outset? So right now we could be undertaking missions and powerplay tasks to fight enemy fighters, or even thargoid scouts, etc etc?

Bots in CQC would change quad-elite from the game's toughest accomplishment, to just one more mindless grind.

Would CQC be more engaging/ popular if we could bring our own ships per tier class to battle others 4 Large 4 Med 4 Small (on a team or 1 each), for example non-engineered A rated ships, to avoid the all mighty knight Jousting PVP we see. Surely mm algorithms would be really tricky, but if world of tanks can do it(to a certain degree) smart Fdev folks can too?

CQC is great for situations where you've got multiple people waiting for, for example, a fleet carrier to jump.

But it needs better integration. A button to join from the FC, for example, with a status timer letting you know when the FC has jumped.
Again, had fighter based gameplay been put into the core game from the outset, FCs (and its docked pilots) could have undertaken missions holo-meing into fighters to undertake it etc.

As it is, all that dev effort for CQC is sitting there in the corner of a closet, collecting dust. Had it been invested into the core game, it could have been leverage it a multitude of ways from missions to Powerplay... Against other CMDRs, NPC and even Thargoids etc...

Yup. I gave up on CQC after multiple instances of waiting 15 minutes in a silent lobby, waiting for enough people to join to play a game.

What I want from CQC is a quick pick-up match every so often. Instead I have to boot up the training missions if I'm in the mood for a dogfight and my Commander is off exploring.

Engineering mats for CQC reward? Meh. Maybe as the winner of a weekly Players-only tournament or something. If I'm playing bots then I'm playing for a bit of quick fun, I don't need a reward for that.

I'd love to take my own ships into CQC. I suspect it might be quite popular to begin with, but it would lead to very long sessions if everyone is in an uber engineered ship (which of course, they would be). One of the appeals of CQC currently is that when there are enough people online you can just drop in for short games.

Bots are quick and easy solution. With where things are going, considering Odyssey dev and etc, we can't really hope for any significant improvements to CQC to boost playerbase. That's all been discussed to death and FDev is more than aware. So, for people who just enjoy playing this mode, having bots there might be good. Game already has SLF/Small Ship AI, it wouldn't take much coding, more like simple "unlock", of say, Elite AI for these ships and be done with it.

Also, been begging for this for long time, but making CQC free-to-play would be quite logical at this point. A lot of Squadrons' potential playerbase might easily move onto it, considering it's not overpriced arcade garbage, with best-in-business flight model and raw combat mechanics.

Muskateer is a bot and he's always there in CQC.

Haha, just kidding! ;)
Hmm, actually... I don't think you do.

Not only cqc f2p, but foot soldiers also, as mercs, could hire them to take over territory or something, but if they want a ship, they have. To buy.

Infact, making cqc f2p might solve the problem all together.
