Boundary Ship ID & Name plate pack?

So, I've purchased it to use in 2.3. I don't like other nameplates with all these "pretty" stuff, I want it to display only letters and nothing more.

It turned out you can use these in 2.3 Beta (which is still online at the time of this post).

BUT.

I was HUGELY disappointed when I couldn't use these "boundary" name plates to display my ship's, well, NAME. All they display is ship ID, even if installed into name plate slot.

Will they display actual ship name in 2.3 release? If not, how do I get my money back?

The store is VERY confsuing as to what you are actually buying, there seems to be a difference between the "Name Plate Pack" and the "Boundary Ship ID & Name Plate Pack" but I honestly dont know what that difference is. It might be that you need to buy the "Boundary Ship ID & Name Plate Pack" PLUS one other pack but its so ambiguous that I just dont know

That is why I am waiting for a good description of that item before buying .
The "Boundary Ship ID & Name plate pack" is a bit confusing as to what it entails.

I had the same question. The description says ...
"Ship ID Name Plates have your custom Ship ID displayed on your ship. Available in 3 colours across 3 designs.
This pack also comes with matching Name Plates."

But the example photos do not show any name plates, only Ship ID plates.
Seems odd to me that it's priced the same as other name plate packs. If they're all the same price, why not get ShipID plates with all Name Plate packs?

The "Boundary Ship ID & Name plate pack" is a bit confusing as to what it entails.

In Russian version, it says:

"Этот набор также комплектуется соответствующими пластинами с названием."

"Пластинами с названием" translates as "plates with names".

NAMES, not ship IDs or anything else. Ship ID is NOT a name. However, it does not display my ship name, only ship ID.

This is not confusing, this is just plain scam. I've yet to see how it works in 2.3 release (it might actually display name, after all), but if it's not, I'd like to get my money back.

It allows to have your Ship ID where your ships name would go.
That's not what the description says. "This pack also comes with matching Name Plates"

I purchased it because it was the only design I liked, and the description said, NAME PLATE INCLUDED! so that is what I expect to receive.

It would be nice indeed if "Boundary Ship ID and Name Plate Pack" meant both ID and nameplate styles. The title can only be read this way even if store pictures say otherwise. More importantly, I also prefer this style to all others, though practical comes close.

At the very least they should rename it to Boundary Ship ID pack.

As of refund, I have pretty good experience with customer support and would not expect problems here, but if only way to apply ID to ship is this pack, I guess I'll still buy it.

We'll know in a few hours. Others have said on the BETA servers it only has ShipID, No Nameplate.

By the sounds of it, a ship ID plate is nothing more than a limited character ship name plate... If I'm following... And you can use either of them, but they're essentially the same thing

Its ID, but can be placed on the name plate slot, making it an nameplate showing ID. FD and communication, round 174346...

Yes, but they are planning to link these to ATC in the future.

Not even a blind man can get the description wrong...

Ship ID Name Plates have your custom Ship ID displayed on your ship. Available in 3 colours across 3 designs.

This pack also comes with matching Name Plates.

Makes me wonder if this isn't just very poor wording...

"Comes with" is not the same as "Includes" though it can easily be interpreted as such. The "This pack also comes with matching Name Plates." could be taken to mean that there are matching names plates available, and looking at fonts and such of the name plates, it may actually be that these ID pack simply match the style of the available nameplates.

Not by the sounds of the shop, but by the sounds coming from those who have purchased it. I dont know about positions on the ship, what you replied with doesn't counter anything i said... I agree that you get both, my comments are more around if they can both be used or if they use the same spot on your ship... which has since been answered with the posted image
