Boundary Ship ID & Name plate pack?

Makes me wonder if this isn't just very poor wording...

"Comes with" is not the same as "Includes" though it can easily be interpreted as such. The "This pack also comes with matching Name Plates." could be taken to mean that there are matching names plates available, and looking at fonts and such of the name plates, it may actually be that these ID pack simply match the style of the available nameplates.

There is no matching namepack, so thats not it.

I got the same problem and find it confusing, at the very least. For it states the following:

Ship ID Name Plates have your custom Ship ID displayed on your ship. Available in 3 colours across 3 designs.
This pack also comes with matching Name Plates.

So there are 1. Ship ID Name Plates and 2. Matching Name Plates. Matching what? The Boundary style, ofc.

The second statement would be meaningless if the first one were all that it's about. So I understood the description exactly the same way as biohazard15.

[noob]

I think the description is badly worded, but it certainly isn't a scam. I'm fairly sure the ID bundle just gives you the ability to put your Id on the nameplate. If you don't want that, I'm sure support would be happy to help. If they get enough queries, I'm sure they'll look to fixing the description too.

It's pretty clear "This pack also comes with matching Name Plates", so I'm sure it will come with name plates.

I too prefer the simpler text without unnecessary graphics in the nameplate design, and would prefer that to the other designs.

Don't know if I'm going to bother otherwise, just naming my ships is good enough.

I think with ID names it could mean that stations and bases will refer to your ship using the numbers and letters you define when approaching to dock, like they do at engineer bases with the first three letters of your commander name.

Guess we'll find out soon.

"also"

synonyms: too, as well, besides, in addition, additionally, furthermore, further, moreover, into the bargain, on top (of that), what's more, to boot, equally;

"comes with"

Synonyms : accompany , attach to , go with

I don't really see how this can be misunderstood in anyway or form....

The fonts and colors seem to be pretty matchy-matchy...

They use the same font everywhere and colors can be changed individually for ID and name - so I suppose you are ironic here (one never can be sure on the net anyway :))

Not by the sounds of the shop, but by the sounds coming from those who have purchased it. I dont know about positions on the ship, what you replied with doesn't counter anything i said... I agree that you get both, my comments are more around if they can both be used or if they use the same spot on your ship... which has since been answered with the posted image

Please, explain how this can be understood in any other way than it's included?

You have multiple slots: nameplates and id plates. Boundary prints ID tags, both on ID plates but also as a bonus youbcan place ID tags on nameplates.

Still hope its a bug, but almost anything can be interpreted myktiple ways.

In outfitting, there are 2 additional sections to the livery menu...Ship ID and ship name. I applied my plates in the current beta just to see what both look like...the ID number is the larger of the 2 plates with the separate name plate showing the ships name... and for the inevitable Skyrim fans shouting that I've spelled it wrong, I did it on purpose [yesnod]

I'm replying to the first post, whereby he couldn't use both after purchasing. Then I sought clarification on ID and Name position on the ship and if both can be used simultaneously.

Please explain where I implied the store didn't supply you with both a name and ID plate, and where I questioned my understanding of that?

I'm very sorry, but it can't, it's clear as vodka, ID & Name plate in one product, each as a separate item.

Product number one:
"Ship ID Name Plates have your custom Ship ID displayed on your ship. Available in 3 colours across 3 designs."

Product number two:
"This pack also comes with matching Name Plates."

The store is VERY confsuing as to what you are actually buying, there seems to be a difference between the "Name Plate Pack" and the "Boundary Ship ID & Name Plate Pack" but I honestly dont know what that difference is. It might be that you need to buy the "Boundary Ship ID & Name Plate Pack" PLUS one other pack but its so ambiguous that I just dont know

The website does say in the footer print...

You can use any combination of any owned Name Plates, or use the same Name Plate more than once, provided your ship has multiple Name Plate slots. When docked in your ship, bring up the Starport Services Menu. Navigate to the Outfitting menu and in the Livery section navigate to the Name Plate slots.

---

Name or Serial Number.

Name on one side and Serial number on the Other.

If the ship has multiple Name Plate slots, then both on the same side... (im guessing larger ships?)

They've just changed pack name and description. So, apparently, it was intended behaviour.

Yeah, now it's just "Boundary Ship ID", and description says

"Ship ID Name Plates have your custom Ship ID displayed on your ship. Available in 3 colours across 3 designs.
Can also be copied to a Name Plate slot."

Okay, where do I apply for refund?

Confirmed.

New.

Makes sense since the "pack" didn't cost any more than other name plate packs.
Refunds may be in order but honestly, I intend to buy both anyway.
