Bounty Hunter - Which Power? Increase rank through combat?

Hi.

I really enjoy bounty hunting in rings. I'm not a fan of chasing down and "interdiction."

Any advice for a bounty hunter that wants to join a power and increase rank?

Perhaps combat zones?

Which power should I join?

Should I undermine?

I just want to blow $%!& up while ranking up and getting lots of credits.

Thanks!

Arissa Duval (empire master race) or Hudson (dirty federal peasant). There might be be a third, I think Pranav maybe, but he's independent.

With rank 3 I think, might be rank 2, you get a decent bonus to payouts, plus if you bounty hunt in Arissa's space, you get a extra bonus just for being there. Rank 5 you'll get the 100% (?) payout bonus as well.

Undermining was the quickest way back in 1.5, especially if you had a wing. If you can find an anarchy system to do the deed in, you're golden.

zach hudson maybe the better one to go for as the rewards for rating 2 are based on pp standing.

you get 20% bonus at rating 2 but it increases to 30% in 3rd,40% in second and 50% in 1st (he usually 2nd or 3rd)

to undermine u just find an enemy control system and destroy ships, in alliance space u kill alliance
ships and so on

To add on to that, you have to be in an enemy control system. Use the powerplay map filter to find one for a rival faction. The other thing is, you're gonna be breaking the law there, so expect bounty hunters to come after you.

Hi there, I used to be with Hudson (Federation) but I decided to leave as I felt that it was better to go to a Compromised Nav Beacon and get wanted ships from there, the thing is if you're aligned with a particular power and are at a Compromised Nav Beacon you will get harassed by NPC griefers but if you're independent and have an empty cargo hold you can just sit back and choose your targets or even better let other npcs do the grind on the bigger ships and you can just finish them off for the big credits. I'm currently hanging around Roustem, it's a decent system for getting pirates.

from my experience, and 99% of my ingame cash has been made doing combat, be it mission, haz res and conflict zones, nav beacons are the least effective of them all.

maybe its just me lol

if u bounty hunt in one system long enough the local pirate will give u a hostile rating and fire on u if u have cargo or not and pp faction dont bother em too.

alot of extra cash to be made for bountyhunting when pledged to one of the guys that give the bonus and frankly if thats your career of choice you be a fool not to imo

If your a bounty hunter, you cannot afford to not do power play! In 11 weeks, you will make an additional 50,000,000 credits if you maintain rank 4. Not including all the credits you make from the bonus!!!!

Hi guys, I took your advise, I joined Arissa Lavigny-Duval. I went to a Federal controlled system and murdered a few Federal aligned ships. I went back to an Empire controlled system. But I had 0 merits. What did I do wrong?

What system?

They were ships like "federal agents" and "federal couriers" right?

Check transactions tabs too, see if you have any merits. I think the only way to turn them in is at Arissa's control systems.

I checked the Transaction menu and I see a bounty on me for murdering federal agents, but I don't see any merits. There are no merits in the Power Contact menu either. I killed the Federal Agents in Pitjari (exploited: Hudson), and now I'm docked in Ngorowai (controlled: A. Lavigny-Duval).

exploited systems are not control systems m8, easiest way to find em is bring up powerplay menu, then lets use z hudson for example, click on him ok?

then goto the tab on his page called control, it will list all his control systems there, pick a nearby one show on map, set course and kill some feds!

just dont tell hudson i told u cuz im pledged to him and he may get mad at me and point alot lol
