Exactly. The game doesn't reward pvp. It's kinda sad really

I fully agree with this. PvP isn't something that should be rewarded unless that's the purpose of the game. If you find a ship with a decent bounty or good supplies for trade that's when it is rewarded. Why should it be rewarded any other way?

I've never fought PvP as I've never played properly for extended periods in Open, and quite frankly this is Xbox Live - I generally wouldn't trust any CMDR I came across... and would immediately rabbit to avoid a potential conflict.

As for combat etiquette; eh, generally it's the law of the jungle in games, isn't it? You can't really hope to have pirates play by rules that aren't defined by any mechanics or systems in-game. If a wing decides to pick on a single target for no reason, well, isn't that just a risk players face?

If the guy runs, but not log, you have no right to get angry, salty, or just plain rude. It's legitimate game-play. Get over yourself.

Even when people play by the rules, it still seems the PvP-goons can't help but throw their toys outta' the pram.

One of the reasons I quit Open. I high-waked on somebody. Perfectly acceptable. Yet they still sent me a PM telling me to drink bleach. GG PvP crowd. -_-

You can't call someone out for being rude and throwing insults when you're being rude and insulting yourself. Best way to post is to type it out once, read it three times. That way you don't offend without meaning to offend.

Perhaps a little short-sighted of me.

But... Had the guy I quoted no thrown insults around against people playing in a perfectly legitimate manner, I would never have been triggered in the first place.
