Brace yourself for tomorrow: Titan Leigong is going down, and it's going down HARD!

If you thought Taranis went down fast, you have no idea what's to come. Taranis died in 3 days with 7 systems defending it.

Leigong has THREE systems defending it. We have no idea what the defense levels are down here, but it's a fair chance it'll take damage upwards of twice as fast!

That means if you want to get in on the Titan killing, you NEED to be here tomorrow! We could see hearts going down in a matter of hours, and don't forget, each heart you participate on gives a minimum of 100 ARX!

I won't be in-game until next week now, but I put my effort in this week on the assumption that it'll go down quick after the tick tomorrow. Go get 'em commanders! And good luck. I look forward to hearing the news of progress through the forums.

I'm currently practicing to try to get good at getting as many vents as possible. Tomorrow, I can go full-bore and hopefully get in the top 10%!

Taranis went down in 3 days with 7 controls(6 for most of that time), but I have the impression Frontier made the other Titans to be more resilient than that even with lower control count. (From a kind of hinting post Paul made.)

Whether that assumption actually turns out to be true, I guess tomorrow will tell. Probably is still not a terrible idea to get the basic reward contribution in tonight, if you’re looking to get them (I’m not).

I did some sums over the last half hour of Leigong's 2nd heart.

It dropped 5% in 30mins. So that's 10% per hour or 10 hours per heart.
And that's at middday on a Thursday. My guess is that could double towards the evening (and with USA players waking up).
Let's say 6.5 hrs per heart.
So that's close to 2 days.
Midday Saturday perhaps, and a Titan explosion for UK players to watch with their Sunday lunch? (or USA players to watch with their breakfast)

This game is unplayable. :(

I got a bunch of damage on the Titan yesterday despite the bugs. I was all excited for today when it gets weaker, and I woke up early to be able to login before work and get some damage on the core. I go to the system, get intercepted several times but ok, this is going to be good. I show up there and see all the vents blue and commanders wondering what to do. I stick around, go after a glitched out Cyclops. After 15 min of confused people telling others to leave, I leave by logging out near the Titan. I come back, try to get back in and die because my last caustic heatsinks somehow disappeared after I logged out and I couldn't make it all the way in with my damaged ship. Ok, I rebuy at my carrier and go again. I get intercepted again, reach the Titan again, and again all the vents are blue, nothing's happening, and confused commanders are telling other commanders to leave. I wait for 10 min and quit. I expect I'll have to go back to the carrier, rearm and try again.

Sorry, I don't have time for this.

Frontier, please post a workaround for these issues if you have one. Clearly this isn't working, it was already bugged yesterday with far fewer people trying to play.

The current workaround is to use Private or Solo. Some commanders seem to be getting into working instances in Open reliably, but a great many have reported that only the other modes are working correctly for them. My own experience reflects this as I can only reliably get into working instances in Private & Solo, Open has a less than 50% success rate for me.

I think the current Titan has less DR. It might go even faster.

My sums were based on Leigong this morning.
DR doesn't change then? At that pace it probably won't matter much anyway. Traffic matters most, and when ppl go "yay it's week end" and celebrate that with shooting up stuff it will be over quickly.
Why don't we open bets? I say Friday night.
There is a chance FD intervenes and prolongs it to allow more players to participate, though
