Brachiosaurus Tips

Hi all,

I've progressed fairly far into the game, haven't gone to Sorna or Nublar yet, but I've 5-starred the 1st 4 islands and completed all missions on those islands except for Pena, which I'm working on now. Anyway, I've had a heck of a time on multiple islands with trying to keep Brachiosaurs happy. They seem to want a ton of grassland AND forest. They are easily the dinosaur that rampages most often for me, as I cannot seem to build a large enough or adequate enough pen for them. I have fewer problems with my Indominus Rex than I do with the Brachiosaurs. I've mostly ended up selling them and breeding Diplodocus instead since they are much less temperamental. Does anyone have any tips for keeping Brachiosaurs happy? Thanks!

Brachiosaur are an odd one; I've got them on one island (the second one) and they've not presented me with any problems at all, yet every attempt I make to place them elsewhere, I encounter issues such as yours. Their enclosures are mostly the same, I suppose the only difference is the other Dinosaurs I have with them - it's seemingly something to take notice of.

This is what I did when housing a Brachiosaurus: I made a massive enclosure on Tacano, bred a Brachiosaurus, then began cutting the enclosure down and adding forest until the forest level was high enough for it to be happy and the grassland size was also big enough. The enclosure I ended up with was still pretty big but was a much more manageable size (I'll try and link a screenshot later).

If you do that it should work, I've currently got 3 Brachiosaurs and they're all quite content!

Love these guys, first time I got them I realised they need alot of forest areas to keep 'em happy. So I built a big enclosure, filled in several areas of it with forest so that wherever they go theres always some dense forest nearby. I put their feeders and some water right on the edge of the forest areas so that they don't get unhappy when eating or drinking.

I actually found the Camarasaurus the most needy sauropod to keep, Brachios are way better :D

I did a little experiment on Nublar. I put all my long neck dinos in one encloseur, its a fairly large one with plenty of trees . They are all doing well in it know what to do now and an dino pen like this has a big draw and also put in a gyro station .

God, don't say that. I bred some Camarasaurus earlier as a substitute to my Brachiosaur as they were proving problematic. Now you're saying the Camarasaur are annoying too? Heh!

I have to agree with MarkyB83, the Camarasaurs are much more difficult than even the Brachiosaurs. They seem to want an impossible amount of forest, which is annoying, because in dense forest you can't even get your dino's stats, other than their overall comfort and health. I gave up on Camarasaurs, but I do still want Brachiosaurs since they are so iconic.

Diplodocus are the easiest to keep of those long necks. Brachiosaurus is the best looking tho. They need space, but hey they like company. You can throw in a bunch of parasaurus, edmontosaurus, gallimus and the other ostrich looking biirdie dinos. Or only keep medium sized herbivores and let some velociraptot or dilos with em. Be sure to have meat and soy feeders on each side of the enclosure so they can eat in alone on eachside.
