Brightness and saturation shift when losing positional tracking, DK2

I don't know if you've tried this already, but I had a similar issue with my setup. I found that moving the tracking camera connector from a USB3 port to a USB2 port stopped the flashing for me. I think this might have been posted elsewhere on this forum.
Come to think of it, since I swapped around my USB posts, including moving the camera to a 2.0 from a 3.0, I haven't had any tracking camera crashes.
Forgot I had done this until I read this post.
Give it a try.

It would be nice if there was a setting that disabled the color change associated with tracking loss. I've found that the game runs much smoother if the tracking camera is disabled, and it tracks head motion nearly as well. The only thing you lose is the ability to 'lean in', but since changing the HUD to green the text is much more legible, and I wouldn't miss that feature either.

I tried a lot of ports. The camera didn't work on USB3 at all.
Right now I have the positional tracking errors reduced to a minimum. They are not gone but at least the regular double flashes have dissapeared:

I killed all background apps, skype antivirus etc.
I have the orserver process set to realtime
I have the rift on USB3

I don't have framerate problems but there are still noticeable rotational tracking errors based on events in the game. I noticed tracking dropouts when a new contact spawns in my environment for example, or more dropouts based on the number of contacts around me.

Has there been a true remedy for this issue?
I lost the ability to lean around etc. Pos-trac? Is there a firmware update I'm missing?
