You can get shots of 5, get the first five then take a 10 min break and come get the next five, thus five trips for all 50. The amount of rares only respawn twice so you can only buy two batches per trip.

I hear if you have friends you can ask a few of them to pick some up for you then have them drop it somewhere so you can scoop them up....you need friends though so I wouldn't know if this works.....:D

@OP: Get ready because there's more of these types of "rare goods" engineer bribes. Stations have a "per customer" limit on rare goods where if you have a certain amount already in your hold, they won't sell you anymore. The allocations are also on a timer (I think 10 minutes), so even if your hold is empty, you won't be able to get the full limit at once.

In practice this usually means you have to make a bunch of trips back and forth between the engineer and the station selling the rare good. However if you're really determined to beat the system, there are two workarounds. One is insane, the other is super-insane.

The less insane method: wing up with other CMDRs. You wait outside the station, they go into the market and buy their max allotment of goods, then fly out to you and dump them. You scoop them up and they fly their empty cargo holds back into the station to buy more. Repeat as necessary. Because of the refresh timer on rare goods, the more CMDRs the better.

Super insane solo method: Equip a good limpet controller and lots of limpets. Go buy your max allotment of goods. Fly a bit outside of the station and wait 10 minutes. Dump all your cargo. Quickly fly back into the station with your empty hold, and buy one more allotment of goods, then quickly fly back out of the station and pick up the cargo that you dumped outside. Dumped cargo canisters are on a self destruct timer, so you have a short amount of time to get in, get out, and pick them up again. Wait another 10 minutes for the market to refresh, and then dump all your cargo *again* and repeat the whole process. Keep repeating until you have the desired amount of cargo in your hold, and then congratulate yourself on your ingenuity.

150ly is about three minutes in a ship with a decent jumpdrive. That's only half an hours worth of jumping in total for the unlock.

You can currently get 5 every 10 minutes, but you can only purchase a maximum of 10 from the station. If you are doing it solo, it will take 5 trips with a ten minute wait while getting each 10 units. 5 trips.

If you have another CMDR (or more) help you, they can buy and and then transfer units to you outside the stations no fire zone. Use limpets, scooping 10 or more barrels takes a g long time.

I did this (and the others that have similar unlocks) a bit at a time over a few weeks. If you only focus on a single activity until it's done you're just going to get frustrated imo.

Thing I always hated about these missions (maybe its changed since I did it?), was the quantities would always be awkward..

You earn 4 Modular Terminals per mission, but 25 are required, forcing to do an extra mission. You get the Brandy in quantitities of 12 but 50 are needed, not 48 or 60, so you have to make that extra trip for a couple more.

"Decent" jump drive being defined as something able to jump 50ly+ with cargo? And even then I don't know where you're getting 3 minutes, unless you're doing 2(!) jumps? A single hyperspace jump is 1m15-1m30s by my clock, and you're not even counting the time in Supercruise, docking/undocking, orbital cruise, glide, escaping planet, etc; which over the course of 10 trips is going to add up to a LOT. Is my copy of the game broken or are you woefully underestimating the time investment here?

Please upload a video where you ferry 50tons of Fujin tea to Broo Tarquin in 30 minutes. It won't take *you* very long to do, and I think everyone else would absolutely love to see it.

Its 4 jumps for my DBX (52ly) with cargo between Fujin and Muang. It takes about 4-5 minutes with scooping, a little less straight through. In my Corvette with a 22ly range it was 11 jumps.

Maybe i'm still new-ish but I don't get it How is sitting for 10min some game mechanic and once you have they refuse to sell more. Does the tea explode in large quantities?
Used to be that many rare goods sold 1 unit every 10 minutes. So you could be waiting for over a couple of hours for a full allocation of some rare goods. Some players actually thought that was good game design.

Better get used to it! This game has a time sink / grind wall behind every corner. FDev calls this "gameplay". Just a fact. As others have said sometimes it helps to have a number of grinds underway at once so that each one doesn't look quite as bad. But they're still bad.

It's much faster just to just ferry each allocation as you get it, provided you have a decent jump range.

Get an AspX or DBX to do all of those types of things.
Each jump should take less than one minute.

idk if it's fixed already, but u can just buy everything u need then jump to another location, go back and buy again, don't waste 5 or 10 mins waiting the damn restock (the maximum cargo per ship is still a thing doing this method...)

The thing is, Broo requires that EACH individual looking to use his services supplies 50 TONS of tea. Like, not 50 cups, we’re talking 50 cargo pallets containing one ton of goods each. Meaning by now Broo has stockpiled millions of tons of packaged tea products in sprawling underground storage caverns, which begs the question, what in hyades is he planning to do with it all!?
