May i ask, as someone who started that build from the very beginning of the games lifespan and even adapted to one of the dlc, what dlcs did you like the most and what would you have changed to fit your needs better in a realistic way (no more or less animals as example)?
Also are their any packs/animals you are still crossing your fingers for to get for this project?
I think that would be really interesting to hear from a veteran with such an old project

OK - I will try to answer as best I can.

I like any DLC if it offers more animals and more building pieces. Historically, I'm a builder, not a management player. So, the more pieces the better. The more animals the better. I play exclusively in sandbox, and one thing I would really like is less limitations in sandbox. Like being able to turn off aging ang select by animal birth rates. I would love to have babies for some animals, but not others.

I will take about any animal, but would really really love birds, more small mammals, more primates. These are key animals in any zoo and really lacking in the game IMO.
You will see this in the next section I'm working on. I will have many faux habitats because animals are missing from the game. Some can be fulfilled with all the mod stuff that is showing up out there, but I'm trying to respect Frontier (I have been with them since day one of beta for PlanCo), so I'm trying not to get caught up in the whole Mod scene.

I build slow, so the pace of the DLC seems to work with me else I would not be able to keep up.

Allright thank you, that was nice to hear!

And yes i absolutely do agree that both small animals and birds are really missing from the game, but i think atleast concerning the animal selection the SEA pack was a good step into that direction with more smaller, more "filler" animals like dholes, binturongs, babirusa and basicly all of them.
If the leak was correct, the next dlc will also cover more of that demand, but something like a small animal pack or an overall shift away from bigger animals for a while would be appreciated, even though i totally understand why the bigger animals have priority, even though i would love my self some squirrelmonkey, civets or ginnets for my zoos and especally for tropical house builds
