My fsd started malfunctioning just over 12100 lys from Sagittarius A aswell and does anyone know what engine stabilisers do as at one point they disengaged

Nice work folks. I'll do a board update tomorrow, but for now I'll just mention that as well as the Federal Gunship, Imperial Cutter and Asp Scout completing the course recently, I'm also aware of a Federal Corvette currently en route, so the gaps in the ship list are being filled in nicely

First Post being about heading straight for Sadge? Terrribly inefficient ship? Gratuitously punny ship name?
I like this one already.
As previously announced, this was very much the week of the new ships, as all the completed trips were in ship types previously absent from our leaderboard.
First to the core of this week's crop was Cmdr Takaru Minari. It's great to see this commander returning to his self-appointed task from the days when this was the Buckyball Run A*, of making sure that as many ships as possible have sub-24-hour times recorded. This time the ship of choice was the Federal Gunship Gun with the Wind, which didn't join Takaru's "23 and a half hours" collection, but instead came in 3 hours faster than that, to give Takaru Minari a fourth ship class record.
Next up we welcome a newcomer to the challenge, in the form of Cmdr Absolver. Absolver turned up in our first Asp Scout, ISE Breakwind, and proceeded to make reasonable progress to record a time of just over sixteen and a half hours.
And finally for this week, we have another serial core-runner in the form of Cmdr Crotalus. Choosing to show off his wealth as well as Imperial allegiance, Crotalus picked a jet-black Imperial Cutter, Pandora. Stripped right back, and with a fuel scoop that is capable of guzzling small stars (and probably cost more than the ship itself), the Cutter managed decent speed to record a total time for the trip of a fraction over 16 hours.
Well done to all three commanders!
Don't forget we have a shorter race, My True Love Sent To Me, also running now (until 6th January), and Buckyball Run 9 is scheduled to run from 2nd to 9th January.
