Bug fixing

Ngl, im realy dissapointed about the small list of bug fixes. It seems like with each update the list keeps getting smaller even though each update keeps introducing a big number of new bugs. The hotfixes are not being used to fix these issues either.

I just wish that after the current roadmap we maybe see 2-3 months of focusing only on fixing issues with the game.

Im not talking about minir issues:
  • guests stuck in loop between vending machines
  • staff still getting stuck everywhere (with high guest numbers even worse, you reach a certain point where half the janitor staff is stuck, need to restart game)
  • 4 seater powered ride still missing the selection of car per train (despite frontier saying its been fixed)
  • guests still getting refunds for no reason
  • path paint tool still useless for small paths (the stamp painter is just still way to big for repaintig small patches of path for example in a mosaic path)
  • guests seating position still wrong on powered rotating ride
  • guests behaviour during rain still not adressed (hence why i turned of wather completely for the past 3 months)
  • at random rides still get stuck when reloading a park file
  • still cant use launch tracks on beyond vertical track (despite having activated the option to deactivate avdanced restrictions on coasters)
  • janitor a still walking past trash, full bins and dirty tables because apparently janitor b at the other end of the park has got assigned to clean that
  • still no medical center despite guests beeing able to get dizzy on rides. Whats the point of this then?
  • staff can still get stuck in this annyoing „happiness“ loop, constantly shouting and screaming of joy
  • vendors can still get randomly stuck in front of shops
  • the option to multiselect, combine into a building and start editing right (hotkey R) away is still not back in the game despite it beeing possible from release up untill update 3
  • rides prestige rating still drops close to 0 upon loading a park with closed rides and then reopening rides
  • park guest rating/reputation still drops to zero in about half an ingame day, making it impossible to close the park for any duration
  • the horrible staff planner apparently still not getting looked into (filter resetting all the time too)
  • videopanels still missing the option to seperate from building group
  • adding the option to make lights shine only during daytime is great, why not simply make them all on the whole time? Do i have to now go over 10k lights and turn them all on? I hope not
  • no change to the iron claw flatride, despite its platform beeing way to close to the ride (realistically people would get stuck with their legs and get them ripped off)
  • no changes to barriers which have no blocking property around their edges, still have to place them overlapping each other
  • guests still not getting „wet“ status on water rides, making dryers totally useless
  • scenery tab still keeps closing itself when adding scenery to rides or when selecting an attached piece, pressing x and then trying to select a different item
  • steam boat ride missing all functionality when only using one station
  • paths still very buggy, cant keep paths kn the same height as the starting/connecting point. Keep changinf height on their own at random
  • ride pricing still absolutely random and missing any kind of sense in how it works
  • still countless users abusing the workshop update blueprint tool
  • overall workshop experience still just so bad and user unfriendly despite frontier forcing us to use it
  • no improvement on the ride age system. Instead of improving and changing it we now got a new stage in between new and old. Mind you, coaster take only 3-4 ingame days to go from new to old/classic. Sliding in a new stage does not adress the actual complaint.

I give up on trying to even make a complete list of all the issues i and some other users have been encountering.

The last months have shown that frontier is very capable of listening to some of our feedback and wishes. We are seeing great stuff coming into the game like security, glass panels, more options to tweak paths etc.
However there is only so much that new „content“ can do for your game when other basic game mechanics are not working as intended. I remind you again that it took you a whole 3 months to make the custom media feature fully implemented and working as intended. The fact that we are also getting ZERO interaction here with anyone from frontier directly gives me the feeling that the posts arent even getting read nor passed on for the feedback content. The fact that on steam the responses have been decreasing is also giving me the feeling that they are fed up woth the critical feedback and only reading youtube comments, which are mostly positive compared to the feedback here and on steam. I know its not their obligation to do such things. But when you keep talking about „listening to your community“ and in fact are only picking out certain stuff while ignoring other, than thats not listening in my opinion.

Ive gotten fed up with putting all my bugs into the issue tracker. Even if people have the same issues, most of them cant be bothered to even navigate to the page and report or contribute on exisiting issues. We have 217 pages of fixed issues, compared to 1050 pages of expired bugs and around 1200 pages of confirmed/confirming/acknowledged issues. At this rate we are not going anywhere in terms of bug fixing and QOL.

Plesse frontier, take some time to focus on these things before continuing to throw more content and features into the game

Yes, there still are many issues to fix.
And you could fill a page with issues regarding water rides, only...
That's the reason why I still have < 60 hours in PC2 (since release!) while it should have been many, many more...

I wonder if they should start communicating in their unlocked streams.
Actually it's one way about new features, only.

  • issue priority list
  • collecting FAQ and at least answer to them in the stream (afterwards they could copy it over here).
  • How to... (you could show short examples of how to do things that aren't obviously)

what bugs me the most is that we see stuff like this mentioned in the patch notes:
  • Adjusted the names of cuboid scenery shapes to match the object.
  • Resolved an issue where the testing tab for flat rides would not include the rides duration.

like yes, these are issues and cool fix. but how come something like the naming of items gets fixed before the guests getting stuck on vending machines? its literally a wrong name compared to a gamebreaking issue. i just dont understand how they prioritize stuff like that higher than actual bugs affecting gameplay...

oh and i forgot to mention another very gamebreaking bug that has been present since release: guests stuck in slow motion movement... but yeah i can totally see how frontier thinks displaying the flat ride duration to be more important :)
