Bug in the engineer workshop

There’s a bug in the engineer workshop – Juri Ishmaak.

I can’t improve my missiles because the screen (and the game) freeze when I try to modify the module.

This happen since the last upload.

Who can fix this?

I get a ui failure trying to upgrade some items at Felicity Farseer. Instead of allowing me to do an upgrade the ability to select anything disappears and I get locked out of any menus forcing me to restart the game. It is a new and persistent error since the September update. I use Thrustmaster and VR.

Happened to me last night. So I won't be engineering until the bug's fixed. No big deal, all my ships are somewhere between G3 and G5 now so it's all optional from this point. Not ready for PvP yet! 🤡

It's a known issue and a fix will be applied ASAP. Meanwhile, there's a bodge available:
To workaround the engineering lockup, change the top filter on the engineering screen to 'available' - allowing you to only scroll down the available engineering options.
If you try to scroll past any unavailable mods, the screen will freeze

Obviously because you can only engineer available mods, grades which you don't have the materials for won't appear. Also you can't apply secondary effects once a mod is complete so if you want to add, say, mass manager to an FSD upgrade, apply it while you still have engineering rolls to apply.

And the rest of the damned bugs! Scream tearing V-sync not on anymore...depressing. God help us in December!!!
Just tried to do a delivery mission, that's not working either. Going to the XBox store to look for another game to play until all these bugs are fixed 🙁

Just got back from the black. grabbed a few modules to go engineer, show up at engineers buggy screen scrolling and game freezes if you try to back out or hit a to upgrade. Engineers are borked

Well, you don't need to, you still can play ED, you just have to do something else than engineering.
I'm good I just travelled 40k lty in the last few days specifically to fight some stuff but my build needs some things so engineering is all there is for me to do at the moment . So no I can't play ED unless I do something in it I really don't feel like doing right now. Why would I sit and do something I don't want to do JUST to be playing elite ? In reality they should not release updates/patches that are so broken. Just like how nothing is built to last anymore it's built to break so you can buy another or the next best newest version of it.

Take a deep breath my friend, I understand that this issue is frustrating (I have been frustrated too) but updates come with bugs. We know that for sure. And all in all, since you have decided to play something else you like, you might still enjoy your time. Think positive man. ED is not a flawless game, but the devs are active and work on it despite the fact that bugs still come out from time to time.

I don't need to take a deep nothing. I'm not a child flipping out on my tv, I'm just pointing out a fact. Makes me wonder if they even test these updates before releasing them.

I was able to update an FSD by choosing the FSD then filter for available upgrades/blueprints. Got this from another post. Although I can't update anything else than FSD using this.
