Bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs so what does FDev fix? USS farming.

While highly amusing, I'm getting reports from squadron members that HGEs are now 10 times rarer than they were even before the patch.

Considering they were quite rare before, and the patch has only just been released, there is no way on earth your squadron members can have the data to make such claims at all.

A couple of couple days for sure I have not seen the freezes, before this 3.3.02 patch. This gives us a point that it was server side issue. I've seen some yesterday, less than a second, but OK, I can believe this is my laptop's lag.

Yes, that was one of the server-side fixes.

Why do you suppose it was not mentioned in the patch notes?

So mining would not immediately cease to exist . . . again. Now, it will take a couple of days of grinding for players to realize and go back to whatever they were doing before FDev made mining fun and lucrative for a couple of weeks.

Yeah yeah, it is all a massive conspiracy again. FD really cares if you quit mining now or tomorrow, it is a massive deal to them. Thank god you are on to them.

Not rare at all before the patch , sorry , you are mistaken. An any commander jumping into a high population system and scanning the nav beacon would be able to instantly see the entire USS distribution for that system. Get your facts right before you wade in.

Have I done something to upset you? Why do you dispute everything I say for the last week or so? Whatever it was, I apologize, I can get a bit enthusiastic at times.

Really? Pre-update I could fly around a system for an hour and find a dozen HGE-USS. Because I knew how to find them. Now, I fly around a system for an hour and maybe, MAYBE mind you, find one. If any at all. HGE-USS were never particularly rare, just difficult for the new-b to find.

I thought it was a QOL feature they stealth added in 3.3 letting you turn in bounties anywhere.. it was delightful and great.

Apparently they patched this out again. Mind blown.

No, I just think it is better to collect a bit more data before making broad sweeping statements. Maybe they spawn less overall, maybe the distribution is changed and people need to look elsewhere. Nothing personal...

A conspiracy? You really think so? Because I never said that . . . YOU said that.

OK, sorry it just seemed like that. I appreciate you don't know me very well, but I'm not known for making sweeping generalizations or not knowing what I'm saying. I promise you we have enough data to confirm that something has DRASTICALLY changed.

When you claim FD changes something without telling us with the hidden intent to have people do something for a bit longer before finding out what FD secretly did, that is exactly what you are saying. And it is weird.

Apparently via stealth patch a few days before this patch. Some are saying the freezes have stopped. Still having server issues daily and some say they are still getting smaller freezes, but I think it's supposed to be better now, when did you get the last one?

Smaller freezes confirmed. Yesterday I had about 6 short (1-2 sec) freezes in a 2 hour session. But this was during an "issues detected" period.

Alright, I'm still curious what that 'something' might be though. :) Could be a host of things, from BGS changes, changed spawn parameters or something in the servers. It could be intended, unintended, a temporary side-effect etc. Especially when people like OP jump in with their traditional ranting hyperbole (FD clearly does fix bugs, both client and server side, and his 'they are secretly nerfing things to keep people mining for a day longer' conspiracy is ludicrous to the extreme) my spider senses are activated and I tend to hit the brakes.

Looking forward to more extensive posts on this particular topic. :)

Sounds much more likely that the fixes and changes to the BGS will have changed the spawn rates/locations, rather than any intent on reducing high grade USS.

LOL.
Re-read your own posts! (hint: try reading them in Arnie's voice from Terminator)

:x Well your honor, the court's record will clearly show I never used the word "conspiracy" prior to the prosecutions remarks and nobody can prove I did. [squeeeee]

As a potential salt avoidance tactic by an already salt blasted games development company , it would make perfect sense to do it in this way to some.
