Bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs so what does FDev fix? USS farming.

The weird thing is I literally explained what I want, why I want it and what I find enjoyable about that. Then you completely ignore that, make stuff up and say I should stop making stuff up and putting words in your mouth. I'll spell it out again: I like the game to be more challenging. I liked working for my stuff. I dont want the game to become what you want it to be, because what you consider fun is shallow and boring to me. And what I consider fun is 'grindy' to you. OMG, people have a different preference. Quick insult them!
Also "u just jelly" kinda loses its power after grade school.

So go and do that. Don't fit multiple abrasion blasters, don't use 3rd-party websites and apps, do what you want to do, your way. Just stop trying to tell OTHER players they should have to play the way YOU want to.

Ships sitting on assigned landing pads, game freezes, clunky HUD modes, etc. and what does FDev "fix"? USS "farming". This morning's patch seems to have "fixed" USS farming at least, they are not re-spawning when I re-log. The "scenario" (or "scan da ship") ones do re-spawn but not the materials USS. Am I expected to have fun scanning the same ship over and over for a tiny increase in REP? Farming USS was a fun and effective method for collecting materials and we can't have THAT, can we? There were a couple of dozen USS in the system I went to and not a single HGE. I am totally not looking forward to the extreme "fun" of jumping system to system to system to system hoping for a single HGE-USS might pop up.

I have not tried it yet but can anyone confirm whether the multiple abrasion blaster "exploit" has been "fixed" as well? After all, mining was fun for a while so let's squash that too.

I get why you are upset, but the kind of bugs you are mentioning might not be those that are easy to reproduce and if they cannot reproduce them easily then fixing them is a needle in a haystack.
Others like USS farming are reproducible and as such fixed to what they want it to be.

I don't care that much as I own only ship and it's decently engineered. So are my modules in storage. But I will concede that some stuff is way too hard to get. At least have them drop as mission rewards.

What I would say to OP, though, is take a step back. It's just a game. If you don't have fun or find it frustrating, not much point launching it.

Wow, just wow...

Sorry, but most of those bugs have been present for years, so the 'they are hard to track down ' argument is not a valid excuse anymore.

If you really believe that, then you must believe that FD has no clue how to balance an MMO or make a fun game to play.

"Yeah, play blindfolded, and only use a broken HOTAS. You can make it a challenge yourself!"

Guess what? People who want a challenge enjoy doing their best to overcome that challenge. Not gimping their ship to create some artificial handicap. Btw, I dont tell you how others should play. You want FD to make it very easy to get tons of stuff. I just want it to be a bit harder. Either we both get to state our preference, or neither of us get to do it. You just want to stand on your soapbox and scream your opinions while being allergic to other opinions. Sorry, that isn't how forums work.

Does anyone think FD knows how to balance anything? I am not talking about preference, that is subjective. But the massively wild swings in balance rather suggests FD is objectively unable to get the balance in whatever state they want it to be.

"This is perfect!"
"Oh wait, maybe earn 30x more."
"No wait, lets cut it in four."

Normally balancing happens with very small changes. I am used to heated debates about a few percentages here and there. I have never really seen a game with these bizarrely huge changes, and it suggests FD either cant work out how to get somewhere, or (more likely IMHO) isn't even sure what they want to begin with. It explains the hopeless imbalances in income.

"Here, have 120 million credits per hour for basic mining. Oh, and here is a rare mission out of the blue, if you stop mining for 120 million per hour and go murder an innocent person, we'll give you 60.000 credits and you'll be wanted. What is that you say? You are the first to discover a new biological lifeform in the galaxy? Well done, here is 25.000 credits!"

None of it makes sense.

All your words. I never said play blindfolded, use a broken HOTAS or gimp your ship. I never said any of those things. You said that but, if someone wants to play blindfolded, COOL! If they want to play the game using a broken HOTAS then, FAR OUT! AWESOME! I believe in letting someone play the way they want to. You keep saying you want people to play the way YOU want them to.

And that's wrong.

Since this isn't the first time this happens, I am beginning to get the impression you struggle with analogies and other communication that isn't to be taken literal. That isn't a problem, but it is best to not respond with anger when you are confused. In any case, it seems quite clear you aren't really interested in underrstanding, or able to understand, others, so fine, here ya go:

I am very jealous of you, and I insist on controlling how you play. I am evil like that. Please keep fighting the good fight.

So have a ton of bugs in other games, so yes, it might be possible, i am not saying it is impossible to reproduce, but if they cannot do it then yeah.

Remember when most people report bugs they report "this happened to me"
But when they then try to reproduce if the bug doesn't have there, they would need to figure out what made the bug happen and that amount of variables is huge.

If you really believe that, then you must believe that FD has no clue how to balance an MMO or make a fun game to play.
Well fun is subjective, I enjoy myself when I'm playing Elite, otherwise I wouldn't be playing it, more so then WoW or other MMO's with millions of players because while they may be having fun with those, I do not.

In other ground breaking news, I want it to be sunny tomorrow and I dont care about people who prefer rain. And, and this is a shocker, some want it to rain and dont care about me wanting it to be sunny.

I was shocked when people said they actually want Elephant Butt Leather. I almost did call the press, but I dialed the psych ward instead :p

Butt leather or elephant butt? 'butt leather' is something miners put around their rear to protect tje garment while grinding across rock. Or wossname. Is what we call it on German anyway.
