Welcome to Busch Gardens Williamsburg! This is a park I ever wanted to visit, so I recreated the park in Planet Coaster with Google Street View, some pictures and videos.
It took me about 16 months to finish my recreation.
I'm from Germany and I have some difficulties to write my report in English, so please have mercy. [big grin]
Busch Gardens is divided into 9 major areas, so we start our tour in England. It's the first theme section after you've entered the park. You'll find the Globe Theatre and the famous clock tower.
If you follow the path, you'll enter the next section: Scotland.
Since 1978 the parks oldest roller coaster is operating here. The Loch Ness Monster (Arrow) is the only coaster with two interlocking loops in the world.
If you follow the path on the right, you'll get to Ireland.
The next section is France.
It's home of the huge Dive Coaster "Griffon".
It contains a ninety-degree drop from 205 feet, 2 immelman loops, and a "splashdown" finale.
After you leaved France, you'll get into another section: New France
GCI Woodie: InvadR
It's the newest roller coaster in the park and opened in 2017.
Le Catapult
Le Scoot (Log Flume - operating since 1975)
There is a little swiss alp section in this park. The main reason it exists, is the B&M Inverted Coaster "Alpengeist". The park offers some spectacular views on this ride and the log flume.
Queue - Alpengeist
Station
That was close!
Rhinefeld is the first of the 2 Germany sections.
Willkommen Haus
Overview
The Oktoberfest is the second Germany section.
Curse of DarKastle was the first attraction after you've entered this part. They closed it in 2017.
Festhaus
Mäch Tower
I decided to recreate the Big Bad Wolf instead of Verbolten. It was a suspended roller coaster, designed by Arrow Dynamics.
They closed it in 2009.
Have a look into the distance.
The next theme section is San Marco (Italy). You'll find a huge amphitheatre.
The map wasn't big enough to build Fiesta Italia, so I had to cancel this section. [downcast]
In the last part of this tour we'll get to Pompeii.
Escape from Pompeii is a shoot-the-chutes from Intamin. The attraction is based on the ancient city of Pompeii when it was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. There is a small dark ride section with many special effects like fire, mist, cracking wooden boards and a tumbling sculpture.
Entrance to Pompeii
Sesame Street
It's a small area for kids, including the small roller coaster "Groovers Alpine Express".
This leads us to the end of this small tour through Busch Gardens Williamsburg. I hope you enjoyed it! [happy]
I'd really love to put this park into the Steam Workshop, but there is an unkown error while uploading the park (and anything else). Please let me know, if you have any idea. Thank You! [happy]
