The Odyssey - Starport Tour video has a bartender with only 2 options: trade, sell (see video at 2:48). The bartender should sell drinks and maybe some food. It could give a temporary health buff. Alcoholic drinks make players drunk like in Mass Effect. Also add an arcade machine with the classic Elite game. Why? Because it increases immersion and gives players more stuff to do.

A good pub is something you find yourself in, some pubs you might actively want to avoid.
The bar in Odyssey looks too corporate and safe, more like an airport waiting lounge, FD need to up their game... how about some actual content. Bars you can get drunk in, make them dangerous.
Plenty of potential, FD again playing the safe route.
